Kirk, do you know the OHM/Volt range of the fuel sender? Thank you.

0 to 110ohms. This is per the book, I would be the 0 is right but the 110 could vary. The gauges i bought can be programed to the range in a custom setup.

Congrats Kirk .. that sound amazing .. ( I'm gonna record that sound just tu play close to my 80 exhaust ! )

HAHA Thanks! Send me a sound file of that 1hd-t, or help me smuggle one into the USA. I will have one someday.

Kirk, I forget, did you get those gauges working? I don't see why my 91 cluster won't work. I should have my oil pressure gauge from Toyota and Temp sender tomorrow. I finally got my TB elbow and MAF. I was running Speed Density conversion but am going to do lots of injector testing so would like a MAF in there.

You should make a vid of the gauges!

Gauges are not working yet. Laser cutting two more brackets today to mount control box. I decided to go aftermarket bc the tach and water temp is very inaccurate. this Dakota Digital system is really nice. Awesome quality, design, great service and instructions plus made in USA. Highly recommend.

I was, it did work. I removed it and put in the dakota sender. The tach was 99% of the reason.

beautiful beast.....nothing beats some good muscle.....how a landcruiser is suppose sound like...

Gauges in and working. Dakota Digital has a fantastic product here.

Very cool!!! What wire did you use for the fuel gauge? Tks.

Those vids should be required viewing for anybody going on and on about how GM stuff sucks and old Toyota iron rules.

It is shocking to see that pig get up and go like that, love it, although the house and property suggests the ability to not spare too many expenses.

That is uber-cool:clap:

Stick it back on 31's and give us so 0-60 times:D

there was a wire in connector "d" that plugs into the back of the gauges i dont have my fsm diagrams but i think it was #14 and grn/yel still having issue with turns and brights working on the dash. The thermo is a 180 and the motor runs dead on at that.oil pressure is abut 35-40 and pushes 55-60 at wot.

thanks gm powerplants haul the mail and sound great. I did not waste any money on this project. Ohio has a decent mix of earning potential and low cost of living, and i earned every penny towards my house and landcruiser affliction.

Thank you, There are shifter gear position messages that light up in the led area on the bottom of the tach i did not use them.

I am making an addition to the dash that is not ready yet. I am chopping out the oem f + r diff lock, center diff, etc pieces out of the factory cluster and backlighting with LED's in a small pod that will be mounted to the right or left of the gauges.

Also since my speedo and trip odo is working I can now calc MPG. Here are the highlights from the Dakota Digital website:

Displays included with this instrument system:
Speedometer: 0-160 MPH analog, 0-255 MPH/KPH digitally in message center.
Tachometer: 0-8,000 analog, 0-9,990 digitally in message center.
Oil Pressure: 0-80psi analog and digitally.
Water Temp: 140-220°F analog, 0-300°F/ 0-150°C digitally in message center.
Voltmeter: 0-17VDC analog and digitally.
Fuel Level: Empty- Full analog. 0-99% digitally in message center.
Also shown in the digital message center:
Odometer
Trip Odometer (A&B)
Resettable Service Odometer
Hour-meter
0-60 MPH (0-100 KPH) timer
¼ mile timer
¼ mile speed display
High Speed recall
High RPM recall
Various Indicators can also be displayed such as:
Turn Signals
High Beam
Check Engine
Parking Brake
Cruise Control
4x4 (when equipped) displayed in message center.
Wait to Start (when equipped) displayed in message center.
Automatic Transmission gear indicator is also included which will display the full name (ie: Park, Overdrive, etc.) of the current gear. Utilizing the gear position indicator will require the use of a Dakota Digital GSS-2000 (sold separately) sending unit.
Dakota Digital instruments systems also include a Demonstration Mode which will cycle the instrument readouts while the vehicle is standing still. This is especially popular while the vehicle is on display at a show, event or simply displaying the instrument system.
Full Metric conversions will cycle between MPH or KPH in the digital message center with the press of a button. Full metric analog instrument systems (KPH & Celsius) are not currently available.
Necessary sensors included for oil pressure (1/8” NPT), Water Temp (1/8" with bushings for 1/4", 3/8", 1/2” NPT as well 12mm and 16mm for GM & LS applications) and speedometer pulse generator.
Fuel level gauge can read either OEM sensor, or any aftermarket style currently available. A universal fuel level sender, SEN-06-1, can be purchased from Dakota Digital if necessary.
Fully programmable speedometer for various tire sizes, rear-end gearing combinations, etc.
Built-in illumination is activated as headlights/ parking lights are activated. The DIM-1 can be purchased from Dakota Digital to increase or decrease the brightness of the display. The DIM-1 is used in conjunction with your headlight switch
Fully adjustable warning points alert the user of potential vehicle problems in the digital message center
One-time user settable odometer. This is available only within the first 100 miles of operation. Once exceeded, the mileage can be reset by Dakota Digital at a charge of $20.
