Hey man,

I went ahead and sent my harness to LexusV8 over in florida! They took care of my harness to convert it to a stand alone and have its on fusebox!

Alternatively I could have used Spitronics but I like having OEM stuff
Cool, good to know. I have their information tucked away when I get to getting the harness swapped over to a stand alone. Do they fit a brand new fusebox or reuse the one from the donor harness during the conversion? I am asking because I am starting to rough in how I am gonna fit everything in the engine bay before I get too far.

Hey man,

They make a new fuse box! They only ask for your engine harness and computer! Its great tbh, if you want I can give you measurements of how long the wire is relative to the ecu location (remains in stock proximity)

Scored this 40 gallon LRA tank. Instructions to say remove pick up and return line and reconnect to the LRA tank…are those the two smaller red ports next to each other (port 2 and 3) on the front of the tank? Assuming the port 1 is a fuel pickup but was wondering if anyone could let me know!

Loving this build! In my opinion LJ's are the perfect platform to let the imagination run wild with engine swaps, almost any engine is an upgrade. Yours is almost the complete opposite of mine, will be following with interest to see how this turns out.

Thank you! The coil springs all around is nice!

My intent was to just provide the most information so people don’t have to jump the same hoops that I’m jumping and also minize the guess work for anyone in the future!

I haven’t stopped working on this…waiting on Advanced Adapters so I can move forward…supply chain issues hurting me right now :(

Figured it was a sign to do other things so here is a custom rear sump oil pan (steel) with a couple ports in it for an oil cooler and turbo drain line

How is this swap going?
I am back on it today!!! We have a newborn so progress had to be stopped on the swap😂

Was wondering if anyone knew…when I have the tcase flat on the ground there are no leaks from the red circled area however…when I tilt it up with the front of the tcase lower than the rear of the tcase…fluid leaks out. Is this normal? Got the fluid all over my adapter and the r150f tail housing which I assume both need to be dry areas

I wasn’t paying attention until I saw the current photo is this thing forced induction now as well? I saw that intercooler get mounted.

UZJ77 got some steam cleaning before I re-assemble! Will definitely do some coating as well

Phone number for those in San Jose CA area that need a good steam cleaning! I paid about $350 for the undercarriage and the empty engine bay…every dollar worth it

Spent the day installing a rear sump oil pan and also doing undercoat to the engine bay, firewall, and forward frame section. I did not spray the area where the steering box is as I am sending that out to rehead steering! I will address that section when the steering box isn’t there.

The engine bay will have a final coat of gloss black!

I plan to coat the axles when I install 2” lift

Decided that I’ll go ahead and spray underneath to atleast where the transmission will end. I will spray the rest after I drop the tank and install my LRA tank.

My goal was to spray the frame underneath…the body I did not prep for spray. I had no rust issues so just doing the frame and spraying some undercoat on the underside of the body for extra protection
