Wondering if anyone has used rack drawers in their build? I am brainstorming options and thought these might be a good way to get a lot of storage for not a lot of work or money.

I think cross purposing anything is viable idea. Computer racks might not be the most durable.
Another thing of anything steel is noise / rattling etc.

Yeah, I'm concerned about the possibility of noise from the metal... possibly mitigated with felt liners etc.

I thought about this, but sizes are pretty standardized because computer rack systems are pretty standardized. Since servers are heavy, for any organization still using physical servers, we know the slides are at least capable. There actually might be a lot of stuff that companies are getting rid of, if they are going to the cloud. I know at my company, all these slides and stuff are sitting around in various office locations because we went to the cloud. I'm in IT too, so I can just walk in there and snatch some up. Hmmm.....

I have made all my inside cabinets with drawers.
It’s the best solution to pack and access things .
Don’t know your needs , but pls get the full extension drawers .
And extra heavy duty rails.
No noise at all while driving , a simple neoprene gasket all around the front will seal from dust .
A huge benefit that normally nobody looks into is saving usable space and weight on interior setup.
If your have the possibility go with aluminium ,2 mm , save extra weight ,still durable

Don't drawers "waste" a good amount of space because of the sliders?
