I figured it would as well. But had to test it as I did not see any movement of the actual phone that affected my vision.Yeah any vibrations are going to transmit into the camera. This thing isn’t gyro stabilized![]()
That’s dude! I’m trying. Still trying![]()
Did you ever consider bringing something up and angled in front like a L or C shape? If it was C-shaped it could possibly use the top of the dash to help - would have to have something that wouldn't harm the dash - not sure it would be worth it.
I have used these Panavise holders before, but for the 4Runners they are too close to your knees for off-roading. I haven't tried for the LX or 80s, but still look like they are too far away and may also let your knees bang into them.

Round the corners with a grinder and use rubber caps on the rear screw threads. No issues yet.I have that mount now and it’s cut a few knees and at least one forehead.
I just received your mount and am very pleased with it, solidly made, and top quality. Have you given any thought to designing a similar mount the will fit in the ash tray slot? I experimented with mine and a spare dash bezel I have and the mount is too wide for the ash tray hole. I noticed the mounting holes for the useless cubby and the ashtray mount are roughly the same. My thinking is that this would allow us non smokers an additional mounting option while retaining the upper cup holder. Just curious.
