Well, now that it isn’t pissing anyone off what is the point?!?!

No issue at all. Even though the insert is .390 long, the tapped hole is 1" deep.

What’s the hole depth on the angular attachment?

Any testing on the weight limit and movement on bumpy trails? I'm considering replacing my satellite dish tree as I haven't seen my stereo in 3 years. The tree holds an Android tablet, my phone, my Baofeng HAM, my Scangauge and a GPS.

Any details or timeline on the Scangauge mount? I would be buying exclusively for that at this point, I hate mine on the steering column blocking the lower row of idiot lights.

No kidding, mine's on the column too.....I had it above the rear view mirror on the previous 80 and liked it so much better.

Umm...that might be a bit much :P

Keep in mind, the only thing preventing this setup from being more robust, is that its only being attached to the plastic dash. There is no metal to work with. I have some ideas but would require removing the entire dash and stereo. Not worth it.

No offense to other vendors selling similar products, but this mount is definitely robust.

How about the Scangauge mounts?

Bummer. Looks like a good chance to tap into that horizontal tube support in the dashboard. :P
