Didn't edit these last two so still full color.
I will post some engine bay pics soon.
The FAST proved to be very very picky in terms of wiring. I ended up re-wiring 80% or more of the dash including installing a new ignition switch and barrel. I had tons of noise and interference causing mad problems until I did this. The entire engine bay has been rewired. Ton's of old and junk wiring was removed and tossed. I discovered the #4 injector weatherpack plug at the throttle body would not push down all the way and lock in because it was bottoming out on the TPS sensor. Odd, must be a factory defect or design flaw as the fuel rail and sensors had never been touched on this kit. I trimmed over a half inch off the weatherpack plug and it cleared to lock in, before this I had mad problems. I made all new steel/copper brake lines (wrapped them all with shrink tubing) and had new SS braided lines made for frame and front axle. Diff breather kit is installed and the ARB filter is right next to the battery in the engine bay. FAST ECU controls the fan but I also have it wired on a kill switch. I installed a new FAST E6 ignition and E92 coil, new MSD plug wires and a new FAST distributor. I made all new ground wires throughout the dash and engine bay and used star washers for good contacts. Block is grounded to frame with a big heavy duty aluminum braided strap as well. Power steering works flawless, glad I put the cooler in. Front and rear pinions are both at 15* and both diffs I over filled.
With the traction bar in the rear, you can lay down the power and it hooks up nicely with no noticeable pinion deflection going on. Both drivelines are DC shafts, built to my length requests and both are new. All new Toyota OEM driveline bolts went in as well, 11mm. New studs in 11mm in the ebrake as well. The 400 small block has roughly 400hp and with the new 4.8 gears, this thing is rowdy and fun and fast.
Really wish I could have dumped the MAF shackle reversal kit but it was not an option for the owner. So I worked around it, difficult but happy with the end results. Just need the rear to come up and it is all good.
Cheers
