its a staging brake for front dig

Would you mind elaborating on "staging brake" and "front dig". I have heard the term front dig thrown around on here and Pirate but I have the slightest clue what it means. I would guess the staging brake allows you to do a front dig, but how does the brake work and what does a front dig do for you off road? Thanks,

Evan

I'm thinking out loud, but if I'm correct the lever will lock up the rear brakes only, and allow the use of front wheel drive only to be able to make extremely tight turns..

I've also heard the term cutting brake. Same concept except you have independent control of each side? Usually I see two levers.

I considered putting a coil in, there is several feet between mounting points and the line is an inch off both frame and body, it should allow for plenty of movement. My body is also solidly connected to the frame, should be fine. My old lines were way ghetto and never had an issue

it's a crazy idea just using a flexible rubber or steel braided brake line in this section .. ?

I'm in the posses of building my crossmember can you post up some more pics trying to wrap my head around what you are doing? Is it straight across.

thanks

Its not crazy and it would be fine but I try to keep the amount of rubber down in my brake lines, too much rubber makes for squishy brakes. I will most likely spice in a curly-que, it will take all of a half hour of my life.

Hi All:

Hey Zach, how is this "cutting brake" plumbed into the brake lines? Is the rear brake circuit routed through this device??

Thanks.

Alan

Where can I get this set up and more info about it?

I just recently installed in my 40 a 205 w/ twin sticks & 14 bolt diff w/ disk brakes.

I am looking for a solution for an emergency brakes and lock up the rear tires to get the "fronT dig"

polyperformance has what you are looking for. Go to brakes then CNC. This devise will not work for e-brake, but you could plumb in a line lock as well.
