Im also thinking about making a storage box for all my wheeling gear. Here is what im thinking. I dont want it to look cheap and slapped together

A slide out box is not the best place for wheeling gear. If you are on a big cilmb, or way off-camber, the last thing you want to do is get out, drop the tailgate then slide out a big heavy box.

Put your wheeling recovery gear someplace that's more accessible.

I thought about that too, but there isnt really any other option for a nice and orginized cargo area. I guess i could do a box with nice cubbies and then just have the whole top lift up to open..

I'm in the process of making some sliders now and using some 2x3 for the main rub rail. Can you take some pictures of how you attached your main rub rail to the frame? Thanks and that is some fine work you are doing.

Thanks. The cruiser is in the shop right now so im unable to get pictures. I can get some when i go work on it later today. Were getting the spare and corner protection put on.
The sliders are just connected to the frame with tube. I coped the tube to the correct angle and welded them on.

Got the front bumper painted and got the winch and lights installed and wired up. Here are some crappy pictures.
Sorry bluehawk..i forgot to take pics of the sliders.

Looks great. I've never really been a fan of tube bumpers but I wouldnt mind putting that on my mine one single bit!

Just got back from a trip to fordyce. We weren't able to finnish the swing out before the trip, but we have everything bent up and ready to weld up.

Here are some pics of today.

Also turns out that the noise i thought was the driveline was actually the fan.. when its in low and crawling up something and i give it some gas the engine flex causes the fan to scrape the shroud.
Im guessing new motor mounts are in my near future?

I also have a coolant leak from the water pump. Not sure if its just the hoses or if the pump will need replaced.

Thanks for looking
