Does anyone have a used 3rd gen cluster in good working condition? Cosmetic shape is not that important...

One of my most popular years! A whole row of them. Prices start at $175, depending on condition.

I'll be calling you for a replacement cluster for my 71 soon Mark.

wow!!!
Are they all in working condition? or are they sold "as is"
No. Many of them are just for parts. When I get a call, my m o is to pull one off the shelf and, if the needles on the lower gauges look like they are where they are supposed to be, I will put my speedo adapter on the cordless drill and check the speed and odometer.

If you want a fully tested unit, I think @JVZii can help.

Also a very popular one, but one that I have very few good cores for. Those start at $350

I have this one. It's been electrically and mechanically tested. The speedometer and odometer work and all the gauges operate properly. Has a slight dent at the upper crest of the bezel.

$225 plus ship. Feel free to PM me.

I can help as well. I have several 77 clusters.

I also offer the added perk that I take cluster cores as partial/full payment if you have any extras.

Thank you Kevin! That one looked perfect for me!
However, I found a brand new one for $260 and bit the bullet. Hopefully I don't get screwed. The seller only has OEM parts and has 100% rating on eBay.

Thank you Jack. Good to know, that is a great business move. I already got a brand new one. I'd figure it'd be best for the restoration.

I have been enjoying your videos on YouTube btw. Very helpful!

Brand new one? You sure it's not kph?

It is. But i don't mind. I live on the Mexico border. So why not? 🤘
Also @JVZii sells a pretty neat conversion sticker for it, if i ever want to change it.
Then it sounds like you made out perfectly!

Beware, the new OEM clusters that are available are not plug and play with a 77. The amp gauge is different.

A 77 has two large wires that bolt to the amp gauge. The new clusters that you can buy on eBay have the newer 50 amp gauge and require a shunt.

BTW @kevos37 your bezel I mean high beam jewel is upside down. 😁

That means that I'm going to have to tap that dent out while I'm in there reorienting the high beam. Lol.
