Hey all,
Information is a bit sketchy in Aus hoping someone whos done it can chip in.
Using a trail gear V6 adaptor to bolt RF1A gear drive transfer case behind an R150F trans. Then an MC08 doubler to the rear tcase.

The R150F trans has a tailhousing with an opening for a forward shift tcase. The TG adaptor also has holes for the forward shift rail(s) to pass through it into the R150F tail.
Will the stock high-low shift rail on a forward shift RF1A still reach the opening in the tailhousing as its got the added thickness of the adaptor plate to deal with. Or will I need to mod the shift rail in terms of length ? I know I have to box the shift rail closed with a piece of keystock as there's no 2wd-4wd rail in the crawl box.
I've got an extended transfer lever (for free !) that I was told will reach as it looks like the tcase lever will sit a bit higher on this tail than it does on my G52 tail.
Anyone done this ??
Everything is 23 spline as well. Both the input on the crawl box and the rear.
Marlin Crawler 2.28's in the front and 4.70's in the rear case.

Cheers.

Sorry dont have that pic its at my gearbox builder now and he's off on holiday for two weeks as we're also doing a 0.70 Dyna truck 5th in the R150 ILO 0.88 5th or whatever it is standard. But its open for the shift rails did a mock fit up with a forward shift tcase but didnt have a transfer case lever to test / check at the time.....
What are you looking for on the tcase end ? I couldnt post the pic in the Marlin forum but saw you answered there cheers.

Personally, I think the easiest solution is make the crawl box a top shift case.

Probably but I'm trying to avoid a forest of gear levers and holes in my floorboard lol. Not sure how many forward shift R150 tail housings are around so keen to make the most of it.

Its got the chain drive bolt pattern, was out of a V6 I believe, so to run the gear case I have to adapt yes ?
What shift rail will I need that allows for the adaptor plate thickness which is why I'd imagained I'd just cut and shut it. If theres a longer one stock whare can I get it thanks again.

Thanks. No biggie to do that. I might just measure how far the rods stick into the G52 tail and extent to the same measurement in the R150 tail should keep the tcase lever from fouling the gearlever I guess.
But if anyones reading has asctully done it I'm all ears.
