Just thought I'd post some pics of my trucklite headlight upgrade today. Would've been a super easy swap if the bezel screws hadn't been rusted and mostly stripped. Once I drilled the heads off a couple and replaced the screws it was a breeze. The new ones even have the orientation tabs for the factory bucket. Only difference I see is they stick out of the trim a tad more. Will let everyone know how they look at night.

Very nice. I just upgraded mine to Roundeyes and they have a made a huge difference with my ability to see at night.

interesting... give us some more info on them and how they do at night. If you can give us some light shots at night too...

I upgraded to some Bosch Glass and hi-output H4's w/ SLCFJ62s harness and it made a world of difference being able to see idiot Los Angeles drivers at night.

With LEDs, even though they consume much less current, they are far more sensitive to voltage drop. Be sure you check the voltage at your factory wiring connectors if you're not already using an upgraded harness. There might be a regulator built into the assemblies to make this less of an issue (s*** there better be given how much they cost), but I'll bet they end up much brighter if they get a full 14VDC.

Were did you pick these up at? Do you have a link? Thanks.

Spike hook a mudder up and share specs...I almost smacked a Bug into a Leaf and made it a Hybrid the other night!

:)

(Only in LA could we get that wonderful combo)

These are the newest version they offer right? I have the older truck lite model with multiple LEDs. I'm curios to see what kind of light output they give. Mine have a very sharp cutoff but I'm not sure I'm impressed compared to the speaker LED.

Of course they are cool!

I got them a couple of months ago. Good twilight vis, and nice short range, especially on a logging road. Not the best long range projection. But overall, for Land Cruiser speeds, I'm really happy.

Just some cheap Bosch 7" rounds: http://www.busdepot.com/0301600118/

And some 60W low H4's from Amazon (forget which ones) and SLCFJ62's harness (search for threads he's started - it's in the vendor section and linked in his sig line), and it's plenty bright for me.

So I bought these from eBay... I really wanted the JW speakers, but they were more than I was willing to spend. I took the rig dove hunting this evening and the lights are noticeably brighter by a lot. There is a very sharp cut off, and may need to adjust them up a little. I'll try to get a pick of just the headlights at night.

Here's one I took to show my neighbor of all the LED's I put on over the weekend... All turn, stop, marker etc, front bar, Rigid duallies up top and rock lights. Still need to swap the one on back but will get to that in the next day or so.

Oh yeah, and the little rock light set... Which is much more impressive w/o everything else on.

Wow that is impressive! Neighbors must have thought they spotted a low flying UFO...

According to Truck-Lite documentation, these lights produce full brightness from 9V to 33V. So even with the usual Cruiser voltage drop at idle, full output should be seen. That is my experience with the 7" Truck-Lite round LED driving lights won at Cruise Moab last year. No loss of brightness at idle. The amperage draw is so low that even stock headlight wiring isn't really a problem as it is with quartz-type lighting.

Even when I am at idle, and then turn the truck off - I get no dip or dimming of lights with the LED's. All stock wiring, a real nice change!

What I lobve the most about those tuck lights it's the light cut ..

Now just waiting for them to release the small rectangular to upgrade my 80 ..
