I always enjoy seeing what Toyota puts in these engines.

Ready to start swapping conrods. Unfortunately the block and head need to be painted before reassembly.

What paint do you recommend for blocks?

VHT engine paint. It’s all about the prep though, you got to remove any and all oil/grease and you have to remove rust if there is any. Then you got to scuff or sand or sometimes I use a needle scaler if the block is rusty. More or less etch the surface so the paint will stick and last long term.

Block is done, black pearl! 😁🤌

Tomorrow I will do the head and then it is time to reassemble.

A little machining needed to fit the Spool conrods. That is all done now.

They sure look good when you get them painted properly.

We have a bunch of engine parts out getting ceramic/cerakote/powder coatings.

Ok, it is pretty lame to quote yourself, yes I know how internet etiquette at least should go. However, this looks AMAZING on your laptop, or better yet large 72" TV screen! A tiny little phone screen does not do these engine builds justice. I suggest if you are over 40yrs old and need reading glasses to view this Cruiser porn, just look at it on a much larger screen than your phone!:p:smokin:
