They were originally marketed as an 11 person capacity so, 8 in the rear and 3 in the front! Well , maybe in Japan!! But here in the states, its more like 8!
They never came with belts in the rear.

I just remembered ....
...our first trip with the BJ43 >1980 we drove to the Carmarque /France.
They used BJ45`s for Tourists in Saintes Maries de la Mer.
