as for 2013, it will be the 25th running of rubithon. i talked to tony twiddy about it a little on saturday at the rubicon springs. he has big plans for the event. we can be our own official group, i have two other solid wheeling buddies that will run trail comitee for us. y'all will get along great with them. one of them should be coming to K2 with me next spring.

if this is going to happen, then we eally should start planning now. this will be an epic trip!

jebber is flying hom today, promised to do a write-up about the trip and wants to run the trail with us in 2013.

How about National Seashore south of Corpus Christi? 70 miles one-way of beaches to drive Cruisers down, camp, swim, fish.

That is my kind of beach trip.

Well now since stopping at the trusty tire friend.... Shouldn't be any;)

Besides Bodean will need to work overtime to help pay for them.

I would have to drive up to the starting point and drive down!



...that's close to home!...1 1/2 hours drive to Padre Island
 
Much of the interior of Padre Island is a huge mud flat. As long as there is a breeze things are great. If the wind dies down, as it did one night with us, the mosquitoes are terrible. From South LA to Alaska and Canada - by far the worst I have ever experienced.

I'd be glad to go back but I'm getting a hotel in town.

He'll no. They chased us off after one night there. So bad you could not breathe without inhaling them, in your eyes, nose... Just terrible. I'd be glad to tell the whole story next time we meet.
