Did that recently as well...proper windshield replacement for these is becoming a lost art with many claiming they can do it, but few that actual avoid common shortcuts. And it's so expensive either way. Gotta get to those chips early.

ya well if you read back to the beginning of this thread you'll know why I got him out to do it lmao

OMG, what a s*** show. That's inexcusable to give this difficult of an installation to "the new guy". That's basically malpractice. Just imagine if you hadn't walked down there...what they would have tried to get away with. Not that they'd be able to cover all that up...

ya it was pretty bad but its fixed right, and it jump started the build. So at this point its just another chapter in this trucks story. That was definitely in the top 3 of the most pissed off ive ever been

Quarter protection hoops installed. Had a great day catching up with an old friend

thank you sir, its coming along. Still have an intermittent clunk in the front end I'm trying to find. About the only thing I haven't touched is the front diff bushings. so those are next

Out at a club gathering we hosted over the weekend

Changed out the all 3 front diff bushings and reinstalled the front skid for a wheeling trip next weekend

Also got bored and decided to change up the Hi lift mount. Fabed up a few brackets and welded them to the swing out. Sits behind the tire now. As per normal I didn't take a bunch of photos. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, looking forward to stretching the ol' girls legs next weekend

If anyone is interested in the kaymar/Gamiviti hi-lift mount let me know

Took a club trip out to Good Evening Ranch in Canvas WV over the weekend. It was my first time at this park and definitely enjoyed it the cabins we stayed in were very nice and the park had everything from mild to wild. Most of our crew showed up on Thursday ( in hind sight that was the correct choice ) DC470 and I rolled out at 4 am Friday morning and after a few stops we rolled in around 11. Did a few trails in the afternoon and found that my new beadlock set up were still hitting the fenders even after i trimmed them, nothing a grinder at camp couldn't fix. Got hemmed up in a creek bed trail on the exit and slid the back bumper in to a bolder so need to loosen and adjust that away from the body but other than that nothing to really report. Saturday was a mix of the same pretty much stayed on blue trails most of the day with a few blacks sprinkled in. Great times were had by all and will definitely be going back in the future.

If any of you want to give another Cruiser head and his family some support @sofj45 and his family have an apparel company on Esty called LandCruiserSupplyCo. They are a Supporting Vendor here on MUD and make some awesome land cruiser designs and are adding more. He reached out to me asking if he could use my truck for some 100 series themed designs. Of course he had my approval and came up with 2 more shirts for their inventory. I think they came out great! If you want one for yourself or any of his other designs check them out at the link below!

Nothing much new to report, she been tucked away since thanksgiving for the winter months. Had some nice weather and decide to take her into work for an oil change

Mileage 197564

Did happen to notice the passenger side front axle seal has sprung a small leak so I'll deal with that shortly

Tackling the passenger side diff seal over the weekend. Everything was going great until it wasn't lol. Decide to pull the entire knuckle assembly just to make better access and to no surprise the abs sensor was stuck. Had to extract that, order a Holstein one from parts geek since a few have had good luck with them and I'm not paying what Toyota wants for it lol

Toyota sensor 89542-6000 is 399.93 my cost 271.67
Holstein sensor 8076-07545213 is 102.97

I'll take my chances lol

Just waiting on that and the crush washers for the diff to finish it up

I never try to take out the ABS sensor from the knuckle. It is way easier (and safer) to unplug from the other side (under the hood) and then just get the whole cable come out from wheel well.

now he tells me  .... hindsight is 20/20

The Holstein sensor works great, seems to be a quality replacement part. No lights and even better yet no leaks from the diff
