trans swap , 84 4wd trans into 80 4wd

I've got a couple trucks, i Pulled the l43 out of the 80, and it was jacked up when the clutch plate grenaded.

So i pulled the trans out of the 84, which should be a g52 (which is not the best, but better than the l43)

When i put the 84 back into the 80, if I use the 84 trans cross member, will it bolt up in the right position on teh 84 frame,
or will i have to make mods.

if so what kinds of mods.

Also any other gotchas to look for? do i need the speedo cable extensions? Reverse switch? 4wd switch?

I'm assuming I'll need to cut the floor.

bought 84 clutch master/slave to swap in. as that was reccomended.

It sounds to me like you have both transmissions out of both trucks?
Set both transmissions beside each other and you will know for sure.

Speedo: Nope, should be the same. It's on the transfercase, and both cases are, more or less, the same.
Reverse switch: Nope, keep the switch on the G62. It's a simple on/off switch. If the connector is different, then swap.
4WD switch: Nope, they both should be the same.
