Trade front windshield frame? Soft top for hard top version? (1 Viewer)

@cruisermatt posted the idea in my thread to see if anyone might want to swap a windshield frame with me.

I have a soft top frame in really good condition, but need a hard top frame. Needs one repair on the top, that I can make before we trade...

What’s the difference between 45 and 40 windshield frames? I’d think you’d get a bit more traction in the main classifieds?

No provision for hooks across front inside (45 vs40) is the main difference. And kellys has the soft top channel built in across the front. No provision for the above the door frame brace.
I would explain better with pictures but not able to right now.

I have a fj40 hard top early windshield frame I will trade if you want. It doesn’t have the FJ45 hook provisions though. What I have is not rusty but it it has a couple extra holes to fill. It is the same lower vent type that you have.

I also have a lead for on a 45 RT frame. I will send you a text after I have some details to share if you are interested in buying one.

I have a 67 45 windshield frame with the hooks, but it doesn’t have the lower vent.
