Toyota truck cutting out

I have a 1992 Toyota pickup 22re when I'm driving the lower rpm of each hear it starts jerking and cutting out but it feels like it smooths out in higher rpm does anybody know what's going on

What rpm are you at when it starts bucking?

1500 up to about 3000 rpm then it tries to smooth out

Could be a lot of things. Start simple and don't assume it's something sinister. My suggestion? Spark plug wires. Give the truck a tune-up.

On the sinister side it could be the injector splices in the harness. Easy to fix, but takes time, and the job can exceed comfort levels in some.

This could be way off the spot but I would go through the intake manifold - Throttle body control unit and soak the hell out of it and see if you get any action out of it. I would also clean and maybe replace the little o-ring that is on the throttle adjust screw (the brass looking screw on the intake).

Might be off but when my truck wasn't running well at low RPMs but I could pull power it was the combination of everything being 30+ years old and never being cleaned.

Also it's worth looking at the trouble codes (not every code trips the check engine light). All you need is a paperclip.
