yep it’s the annoying cartridge filter

i usually buy filters in bulk from the dealer or ebay or whoever has the best price

I would suggest getting them from a dealer (locally or online but from a real dealer website). There are numerous reports of fake Toyota parts out there, including filters, and a lot of them are sold on eBay or Amazon. It's not worth your engine. They are only a few dollars each at your local dealer; I get them 6 at a time.

I had a Camry that had that style. I’m hip.

Was just hoping there was an alternative. I have a few Toyota filters laying around.

They seem to be ditching it for new models. Our 2023 Highlander has a normal spin-on style, 2022s had the cannister. I'm glad it has a simple spin-on.
