Those shoes look great! I guess 37's are the new norm eh.
Now if home builders would start using a 8'X16' as the standard double garage door you could park one of these in a garage instead of baking out in AZ sun.
)Thanks, Murf.Good price, and good service.
The Nittos are definitely very round and very quiet.
Oh, and very much taller than the 315 Wranglers.
The new rims are actually 8.5" wide, and I am still running my 1" spacers, so all bets are off on fender clearances.
I also have the adjustable panhards adjusted to center the axles with the existing lift, so that may require adjustment to allow the tires to fit when stuffed.
I am going out to Florence Junction Thursday with BLM, so that will be my first chance to stretch it out and see what fits and what not. I'm willing to bet that adjustments will be required.
Even when the setups are the same, every rig is a little different, so you can't trust things to work exactly the same as someone else's setup.
I still have a number of suspension mods I would like to do,
but I will have to work thru them one at a time.

I think I'm going to have to get rid of these tires.
They roll over rocks WAY TOO EASY!!! :whoops:Takes all the work/fun out of wheeling.
My casual cruising speed on trails like Cottonwood Canyon/Ajax Mine is up about 20%.

Inkpot was in last week to put on some new shoes. 37" Nitto Trail Grapplers to be exact.![]()
How much if I may ask? I need 37s for my Taco rims.
Did an unscheduled/unplanned test on the Nitto Trails today. Traveled to Young via Payson this am. Ran into freezing rain and snow south of the Sunflower Mine turnoff. Looked like 3-4" in Payson and 6-8" in Young. Lots of cars swapping ends and kissing the guard rails all over the place. Arrived in Young only 15 minutes late. Decided to avoid all the traffic by returning via Hwy 288 to Globe. We were the ONLY set of tire tracks for 35 miles of gravel and another 10+ of pavement. Great scenery, but a bit eerie when you drive into the clouds and can't see the road. Tires performed flawlessly, even when maneuvering to avoid other cars that have lost control. If I was going to drive a lot of icy roads, I would probably get them sipped.Round One, Field Testing, Complete! Bad news, Murf.I think I'm going to have to get rid of these tires.
Don't let anyone else buy them.

Flex/tested it on some boulders and found that I need to do a little trimming on both rear flairs, and I need to bump the adjustable pan hard rod about 3/16" to passenger to center the axle when stuffed. Previous owner must of thought it was better to center it when parked flat.
I am anxious to take it back out and test some more, especially on a bit more technical trails.JOhn

I was searching for OEM parts suppliers and I landed in this thread. I've done business with some of the parts veterans on the boards, so am used to a pretty high level of service. I decided to give Kristal a try. I called her to place an order. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. She also had things priced right. She said I should have my stuff early next week. I'm looking forward to receiving it.
Did they ever go digital on that stuff? I remember when it was all still on Micro Fiche! That was fun. JohnAny way to search that catalog for, ahem, pre-1980 parts?
