Yeah. ALOT of torch work. Thats how the on in the dually was mounted. I really would like to get one that folds over, I had a flip ball in the dodge and really really didnt like it.

If I were to do it again I'd do the rail system you can run the gooseneck or fifth wheel hitch and when you take it out all thats left is the rails and you still have full use of the bed. You gonna make the Labor Day event?

how are you liking that 6.7?

I like it a lot. I haven't had to tow with it yet, but it has tons of power and pretty good mpg's. I got 17.4 from Laffy to Bossier, going 80 in the two 75 mph stretches. I'm looking forward to hooking something up and putting it in a bind!

Very nice bud towing the toys with these newer 3/4 and 1 ton diesels are fun they do it so well. The family and I certainly enjoy ours more than I thought we would.

working in texas that weekend.

Sorry to hear bud its gonna be a good one :), I was going to contract your services to haul the 80 if it fit with your runner on that super new trailer you have ;)

Jrob towed a 40' goosneck with my 40 and his 40 along with the slide in camper that is mounted to the front and you didn't even know it was back there behind the 2011 6.7 Ford. We towed 75 mph all the way to Katemcy and got a smokin' 8 mpg! Great pullin truck!

Nice does he have the 1 ton? Curious what that load weighed? That would have been 3 - 4 mpg in a big block gasser :crybaby:

And it stops as good as it goes! That was impressive. Not a one ton - it is a srw truck. (though I think the one ton would be better)

3/4 ton and I think the complete package weighed close to 27,000lbs. Way more than the truck was rated for but it did great. Wish we had weighed in on the way back. On the way out we had 5 tires and wheels plus other parts not to mention all the beer! BTW, the beer was gone on the way back...

 that is impressive sure sounds like Ford got it right this time around. Now if they could just unload all those 6.0 trucks on the used lots

Thats the same truck i just bought and I pull #14000 lbs almost on a dailey basis. The new 6.7 has plenty of power and it pulls like a dream. Sure as hell out pulls and powers my old 2007 Duramax. Nice truck I like the grey.

Well guys, We've done it.

:)now all ya need is sumtin to put behind it

does that mean SCC here We come:D

Well, I have a truck lined up as a back up. I have tried with the flat tow set up and I turn right, the 40 goes left and vice versa. I used bungees on the steering wheel and it did not help. I strapped the steering wheel so it could not turn and I was dragging the front end through turns. So, I am actively looking for a tow rig (albeit something inexpensive as I can't afford a nice truck sitting in the driveway most of the time). Deryl is lending me a trailer for SCC but I will eventually have to get one of those also.

Buy a POS like my first gen dodge. They are super cheap.

Mike, Donna's was doing that so bad Paul couldn't get it out of our driveway. He installed some shims or something and it tows just fine now. You may want to discuss that with him one day.
