Well, I have joined the ranks of the diesel truck owners. All thanks to Deryl, he made one phone call to a friend and then one call to me........SOLD!! So, I am the proud new owner of a 2005 F250 Super Duty Crew Cab with the turbo diesel. This truly was a deal I couldn't pass up, a little more than I wanted to spend but all in all I think a good investment. I pick it up in the morning. Here is a pic from the dealership website. More pics to follow after I get it cleaned up.

Oh Paul I kind of like the idea of calling it the helper bee or worker bee since it will be hauling the Drone bee and the Queen beeeverywhere

SWEET--- Nice work MIKEDude....Can I borrow your truck?
Thanks guys. Drove her home this morning. Gotta get used to the diesel. Gonna have a mechanic go over it with a fine tooth comb and give me the skinny on it. Larry, you scared me with your 6.0 comment and I was up all night reading horror stories.Gonna see what the mechanic says and then make a decision on what my next step is.
Thanks Larry. That's a great article. I am still a little leary on this purchase but am feeling better about it after driving it a little today. When the engine is cold, it hesitates when you step on the gas but once it warms up, she purrs like a........loud kitten. The only other real issue I found was today on the way back from Deryl's shop, it didn't seem to want to shift into overdrive. I was turning 2k RPM's at only 70mph. Don't know what that's about but I guess I will find out soon enough.
And Larry, I didn't take your comment as negative, just informative. I had to move fast on this deal and I guess that was the problem. I was unable to do the research prior to the purchase and that was my fault. But after reading that article, it makes me feel much better.![]()
