Well guys, We've done it.

Fresh Off the Press.

It's a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500 HD SLT.

DuraMax 6.6L Turbo Diesel. That's Right, We finally got a DIESEL

She has Leather, Dual Climate Control. Custom Carpet, and a fresh coat of wax, among others. 100,xxx miles and in excelent ish shape.

Nice find Cody. I am looking for something similar now. I came to the realization that flat towing aint gonna cut it. So, my wife said let's buy a truck!

Well, I have a truck lined up as a back up. I have tried with the flat tow set up and I turn right, the 40 goes left and vice versa. I used bungees on the steering wheel and it did not help. I strapped the steering wheel so it could not turn and I was dragging the front end through turns. So, I am actively looking for a tow rig (albeit something inexpensive as I can't afford a nice truck sitting in the driveway most of the time). Deryl is lending me a trailer for SCC but I will eventually have to get one of those also.

Nice anything particular you're looking for? We can keep an eye out over this way for you. I never had any luck flat towing either which is why I bought the same setup Eric had he towed his 75 - 80 down the highway without an issue. I never got the chance to put it on the 78 and decided to just trailer it. Its mo-betta for the 40 if you're doing it alot.

Buy a POS like my first gen dodge. They are super cheap.

My brother said Ryan is combing the lots for F250's and his rig isn't together yet. I guess he felt the Titan wasn't going to cut it

At a glance out of the Quick Quarter. Only model to avoid like the plague is the 6.0 Ford F250's I never met anyone that had anything good to say or didn't have problems with theirs. Matt used his brother-in -laws one trip last year and the truck had problems from the day he got back. Its still layed up in the yard from what I hear.

This weekend, Finish up painting TLC2 hood.

Next Weekend, Going to Missouri to pick up the 12k trailer.

Well, I am looking at Chevy / GMC 2500's and F250's but I haven't ruled anything out yet.

I have had two f-250 with the 7.3l, a 2007 gmc duramax and currently the 2011 F-250 with the 6.7 liter. The 7.3 was a horse and a great truck, but none of them compare to the ride, power and drivability while towing as the new 2011 f250 does. Not sure if towing light loads like 6,000 lbs because I'm always towing at least 12k plus.

I wish you would s*** and got off your s*** can and bought the 2007 GMC I traded in on the F-250

Thanks Larry. Unfortunately, that's too rich for my blood. I only wish I could afford something like that. With the limited use this truck will see I am looking for something......well......cheaper...... a lot cheaper.

Trailer is a Bumper Pull.

We're thinking that we've got a truck that could handle it, and we'd rather not have to worry about it being close to the limit. More of a piece of mine, than any actually reason..

I hear that I just bought a gooseneck two car hauler. One spot for my stuff and the other spot....is for other peoples junk!

Gotta be sure that what ever POS I buy can make it there and back pulling the 40.

First gens are cheap. Anything with under a 175,000 miles and has had proper maintenance should be fine for another 100K. The problem is the wife letting you park it in the driveway or be seen riding in it. They are fugly. Especially mine.
