So starter works great! Haven't been able to take pigtown out anywhere to really test her since I have no time. But last night while at work I successfully wasted a bunch of time on the clock fartin' around on the snowbanks and even lodged it behind a huge snowbank at the end of the parking lot and had to winch myself twice! And I used those safety cement pillars that they have in front of the doors to prevent somebody from driving into the store as a winch anchor! I thought it was hilarious! I had to winch it twice because after I got it out the first time I tried getting back there again:p

Not a lot report. Have engine out to swap out for another 350 that doesn't have blow by. Have new front springs to install as well as 92 4runner booster and calipers and proportioning valve from 87 fj60. Need to get some time to spend out in the barn to throw that all together. Would like to go to cruiserfest and relic run.

I was going to come up,to see if you are getting the rig done for the Relic run.I ran into this instead.Hows it comin?

Hellllooo.....
Going to Cruiserfest?

I'm a punk. I really don't want to go without my cruiser. Pigtown still sits in the barn with an empty void between the frame rails where an engine should be. Also I have to work.

So no dice for the Relic either?

I'm still shaking those dice. I'm crossing my fingers to get time to throw it together. The heads went to machine shop yesterday. The rest of the engine is ready to go. I should have some pictures up soon. Also have some new used ome front springs to throw in. Also have have high steer arms tie rod and draglink with more burly heims to install also.

Spent some time cleaning the engine today that will go in pigtown. It's an engine that spent a short amount of time in a chevy pickup I built several years ago. 4 bolt 350 block with some love shown to it. The first time around it had camel back fuelie heads with crane springs mild port and polish and manley severe duty swirl polished molybdenum valves. Those were damaged so now its getting some basic 882 casting heads from late 70's smallblock. The heads are currently at machine shop getting worked over. New valves seats guides and valve springs. Hopefully they'll be done by the beginning of next week. Then it will be time to assemble. Also spent some time standing in the engine bay tracing wires to try and clean it up a bit. After the engine and drivetrain is back where it goes I have some light exhaust work and a front leaf spring swap to do. No pictures today. Shame on me.

currently waiting for heads to come back from machine shop. engine is cleaned and painted.

So are you going for a Thursday night finish date? The beast looks angry, like it wants to go wheelin this weekend.

not gonna make it for relic run yet again. proposed finish time for the heads is friday. Even if the heads were done thursday I wouldn't have enough time to get it together. The story of my life as usual. I did make a purchase recently. A holley projection system. Everything I need in a box including O2 sensor water temp sensor fuel pump map sensor harness computer and control box to make adjustments and a manual to tell me how to not hook it all up.

End of this week am really hoping to pick up heads and start reassemble. Also got a holley projection fuel injection system but will probably use that in a different application, getting a fj60 that will benefit more in an mpg way for highway travel. Have spent some time with some loom and zip ties cleaning up wiring in the engine bay from the 2f that used to live there along time ago. I wanted a prettier place to park a pretty engine.

shiny new wildernest pop up tent shell on top of a 82 mini truck bed trailer I got from the famous John brasier. I got the trailer from John not the shell. Also its attached to the new to me slightly beat up tacoma. Of course this is just the beginning of the mods. Already blacked the stock aluminum wheels and slapped on some used 33's I had and also put the black topper on. Also got some yard sale 17's that I need to black then they'll go on the taco. On the trailer setup have lots of plans so far but have only executed the removable leveling/stabilizer jacks. Both of these recent toys have taken away time from pigtown. hope to fix that soon.
