I'm here. Been busy. You know how it is. Gotta pay for the cruiser hobby/addiction somehow. Actually recently got a subaru engine with only 53k on the clock for the westy. Started prep of 5.7 vortec for pigtown. Need to get that done and in. And also need to put the sixty together and the westy. It never ends...... Still waiting for the day to do my 40. But some jacka** went got a 63 Chevy pick up too....

Focus focus focus. Got it. I miss the dumb cruiser so much. Expect to start seeing some progress. Wrapping up several things that were in the way. I can't wait to drive it with the 5.7 vortec!!!!

Way way way too long since spending any time with pigtown. Was planning to put in a 99 5.7 Vortec. But lack the harness and can't afford to get one. Second and preferred choice would be diesel. I have come to be a pretty big fan of the 6.5 Detroit. I have 2, one planned for 60 series and one I drive in my dd Chevy pick up. So the third choice is just throwing in another carb'd 350. So I'm gonna do that.

I used to have 6 tires 38/15.5 swampers but due to tire rot and stuff was down to 3. So I had to switch to 37" goodyear hummer tires with turbo wheels 16.5's with 6 lugs. Hard to find 6 lug wheels in the 16.5 variety so when I saw them I had to have em. So here's a shot from the side with the turbo's before I brought it inside to stab the motor.

Motor mounts. Frame side. Pain in the bum bum to drill big holes in the plate. Some day maybe I can have an ironworker. Pic is sideways. Damn it.

A friend came by with a grader and took care of all the ruts in the yard. Mighty nice of him.

Finally got the motor mounts all welded up painted and in.
Looks good. Any problems with the mounts and the headers. It was a tight fit with the 5.3 vortec.

Had to park it back outside so I can finish a friends cruiser. At this point I need to hook up some plumbing and put the grill back. Gonna run it like it is for awhile then Soa the front end and stuff, maybe this summer I can finally step up to 40's.
