I'm crossing my fingers that I can have pigtown ready and that I can afford to go down.

Thanks for your support.

First half of the day was ruined because I dropped kids at daycare with the wifey mobile and when leaving the daycare the fuel pump gave up. Awesome. Spent rest of the day hooking up all the stuff on the engine and fixing a few things as well. Should be starting it tomorrow and driving it. It's maiden (for this round) trip will be right to the DMV.

I drove it around the yard today. A few issues to take care of as usual. Leaky wheel cylinder, need to move a shock that's too close to the exhaust, and change the thermostat. I think I'm going to go ahead and swap to the 4runner calipers and master I have on the shelf. Also need to swap to the new to me marlin high steer arms.

Had to do some day job stuff today then hooked up the electric choke and fixed my shifter knob. I'll grab a pic of it in the morning. I need a stereo in pigtown. I have a smittybilt console, does anybody have a kick ass suggestion of a somewhat off road friendly stereo?

my plan is to wire an input jack for the ipod thing to an amp and some cruddy speakers just tossed in a cardboard box under the seats....no skipping I hope...and everyone sees an am radio in the dash...

I put a CD player in the 40 so I could listen to all my old school tunes.Unfortunately the Swell sand and dust have done a number on it and the CDs rarely come back out.So...something dirt proof would be my suggestion.Nice work Jacob!:)

Thanks alot Poophead.

I'm thinking am/fm radio iPod hook up, no CD player. I'm not gonna carry cd's in pigtown. That would be silly. Probably gonna start with just a couple door speakers salvaged from vehicles in scrapyard outside the barn. Sawtooth you need to come up man. We have almost 30 cruisers at the shop these days...

Here's pic of the dash situation. Golf club trans shifter, 8 ball for the 203 box, a wrench engages the front axle and a golf ball is the Toyota tcase.

Here it is back in line by the shop. I cut off the shackle hangers and moved them today to correct the angle.

After putting Humpty Dumpty back together again the brakes worked like crap. So today pigtown got a 60 series master( because I had it already making it free) and 4runner calipers and brake pads. One more wheel cylinder to replace out back and should be all set. Also have to install the new to me high steer arms and shiny new heims and Dom drag link and tie rod. I've just realized its like Christmas for pigtown. Planning on getting a shiny new truck avenger carb for it this weekend too.
