Yes

First, Great looking truck! Something to be proud of. Question, Source for your soft LEDs, and rear cup holder. Thank you sir. Oh, an aside, I was accepted to the Citadel in 1975, couldn't afford it at the time.

burbuja96 thanks for the tip. It has an ok look for me

Is that legal shade tint or darker? If Darker, by how much? How bad was it to remove back window tint and save the rear defrost?

I used my wife's garment steamer to remove the rear window tint, once you get an edge up, get the steam between the tint and the glass, the glue releases, and it comes off very nicely without risking the defrost lines. Final clean with some windex, and done.

Excellent information!!! Thank you! Merry Christmas!

How did you get the window tint to match up?

I ditched the factory bronze tinted glass in the hatch glass and rear quarter glass. I replaced that with clear OEM glass from Dan.
Since all the glass was clear after that, I tinted it all the same color.
I actually replaced every piece of glass in the truck except the front passenger and driver door glass with brand new OEM glass including the sunroof.

Are you comfortable revealing total cost? Interested to compare to custom shops finished builds prices.

"A lot"

I'm guessing that is in the ballpark. :)

Nope I don't keep track of the total spend however it was expensive. I paid $300 for a brand new OEM center console, $350 for floor mats, $300 for the black pearl rear name plate, full Expel paint protection film body wrap was $4k, HID quad retrofit was $1k, etc.....
Not even including all the work Slee did ( front and rear lockers, re-gearing, all new bushings, winch, armor, etc.....)
Plus the body and paint work, everything in the interior is new, all the glass, weather strips, runs, bulbs, trim, seat foams, leather, carpet, sound deadening, door panels, headliner, etc...all brand new....
I went all out so it wasn't cheap.
I am sure someone here will offer $5k for it though

I'll give you $6k! Deal?!?!

When I did my restomod of my FJ40 I quit keeping track at $30k. That didn't include the original purchase of the vehicle. Or the tires. Or the interior. Stupidest thing I ever did.

Edit: I sold it for $20k and was ECSTATIC to get that much.

I may amend my registration and classify the 80 as a sailboat, I think that makes more sense based on the economics
