So much for my bet.

What booster did you end up going with? I need to one for my 40.

I ordered the City racer booster.
But, another club member ordered this at the same time.
I am going to compare them.

Hard to beat for $83.

Mark you know I would have been finished a lot sooner had i not been distracted. Life seemed to have gotten in the way this past year. Still a lot of little things to do.

agree! Even found one on Amazon today. Amazon product ASIN B099RDS5YXBUt I also want to keep the small vendors in business so really didn't mind spending the extra $. I have not received anything of poor quality from CityRacer. And he has some offerings that allowed me to basically finish 2 fj45's that would have never seen the finish line without his products.

tore the 79 series rear bumper down for some pewter to match the rest of the truck. Most likely this will not be a long term rear bumper but it is at least a bumper and a place with a proper license plate mount and light.

Finally a place to hang a license plate. Need to finish some rear wiring. Need to, add wiring for an air tank pressure switch, finish up the third brake light and connect the tcase 4wd indicator and connect the reverse switch.

Almost looks like you have…momentum!

Go Erik, GO!

already ordered, I had some custom reflective ones made that were slightly off, when the guy stretched the "y" it looked a bit weird.. I have a set of stock 45 tailgate lettering stickers but they are too tall to fit. Didn't feel like paying top dollar for stock 79 lettering. I might take the stock FJ45 stickers to the local sign-maker and see if they can properly shrink them to less than 7" tall. But in the meantime i did order a reproduction for the Hilux that measure 34"x 6"

Well, partial success on the first club outing. Met @trainrech and @theSherpa at my house this morning to head to a club breakfast. It made it there but overheated when we pulled in. So @CrowleyFJ40 grabbed his tow rig and drug her home for me. Still had a blast. Some things to sort still. Thanks for coming to town guys!

No time right now to finish half doors, that can be a winter project. So ordered some half doors.
I had a care package coming from Mark @ MetalTech for Chef's FJ40.. @theSherpa was grabbing a new to him tow rig up in the NW so he was tasked with picking up an FJ40 cage to bring home. So ordered some half doors at the same time. I was busy, pulled the doors out and set them in the back of the 45.. MetalTech reached out asking if i possibly had 2 of the same side.. Huh.. Lemme look.. Well gee wiz.. I actually do have two.. and they match.. So new Drivers door on the way, test fitting the pass door. minor tweak to the quick hinges and should be good to go. I'll get the hinges in paint. Figure leave the doors and hinges black. then i can swap to any truck later. Kudo's to Metaltech for reaching out before i even knew there was an issue..

seatbelts ordered 8/24 with an estimated 4 week delay...
do you need a seatbelt if ya have a door?

Started some door repair. So many will tell you that there are not patches for the Early doors. Well, you are correct, there are not. BUT.. a bunch of hammer and dolly work and you can make the inner lower door patch work on an early door.
I used the inner door skin only from Real Steel. Front Door Patches - https://www.realsteelcruiserparts.net/collections/door-patches/products/door-patches
patches arrived way sooner than expected.
They will not be a "Perfect" match for the straight bottom of the door but i really doubt anyone will be looking that close. It was much easier to do this than to build a whole new bottom for the door.
Next will be to epoxy, seam seal, possibly some high build to get rid of the sanding marks, sealer, color, clear..
