set up the rear e-locker for the pile. the elocker is kind of a bitch to wrastle with. i REALLY, REALLY need to make a diff jig. and some way to attach it solidly. i spend a bunch of time pulling the 60 lb sawhorse around the garage with the diff in the vise.

this diff is yukon v6 gears, .105 pinion shim (about 19 in-lb preload with a solid collar and .068 shim) set at .007 backlash. 120 ft-lb (pulled on torque wrench) carrier bearing preload. final pinion nut is red loctite, 120 ft-lb and staked.

Aric, what's the yellow stuff? Special gear lube or mustard from your lunch?
 
Curb paint, he customizes the curbs in front of his house so nobody can park there...EVER!
 
Maybe something with color to help you see how your gears are meshing???

yep, just run of the mill gear marking compound, cut with wd-40.
mixed in the bottom of upside down pepsi can.
