JB weld or taking off and fixing ? I mean you could dremmel that out and weld in place but that crack goes futher IMO. What happened, did the gasket end just under that ear and the 1/2 a mm difference caused the ear to pop ?

Might need to get your glasses cleanBroski, there seems to be some sort of parasite attached to your diff ?
Actually what I’m most curious about is whether there was any twisting in the non broken side and did the RCV’s “missing splines” that I’ve heard of people machining out of stock axles make it unnecessary to cut an access hatch in the did cover.Broski, there seems to be some sort of parasite attached to your diff ?
The none broken side was fine /no twisting and the RCVs have the machining in them already on the locker side.Actually what I’m most curious about is whether there was any twisting in the non broken side and did the RCV’s “missing splines” that I’ve heard of people machining out of stock axles make it unnecessary to cut an access hatch in the did cover.
Really glad yours was a simpler break in there. Not a fun time regardlessThe none broken side was fine /no twisting and the RCVs have the machining in them already on the locker side.
If the axle snaps and leaves some axle extending out of the diff (mine snapped clean )

Then you can't get the diff out as there no way the get the broken piece out.
This is the only thing I found that I don't like about The OEM locker there no clear path to take a rod and drive the broken piece of shaft out.
On a open diff if you pull both shafts you can see clear through. on a locked diff you can't
So if there's any part of the axle/shaft sticking out of the diff you have to cut a door in the housing to get the broken piece out before you can remove the diff![]()
