Yes you can customize many feature sets as well as perform diagnostics, add keys, etc. Seatbelt warning was one of the options.

Look for a cable that has firmware 2.0.4 to get more access and future proof.

What was under unit conversion? Are you able to convert from Fahrenheit display to Celsius for us Canucks? Although my last couple cruisers have been in F and i've adjusted.
Wondering if it works for LC. Is it possible to convert F to C and Miles to km ?

I can't see the Utility function in the versions I have tried to date: 13.00.022, 12.20.024

I need this for remote start programming (pg 19): https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/resou...57AF50008111F_13MY-_LX570_TVIP_V4_II_IssB.pdf

I'm using windows XP and have the wifi off.

I'm going to try my wife's laptop to see if there is a difference but I'm running out of ideas.

Anyone have a similar issue and figured out how to resolve it?

EDIT: I was able to get it to code with getco's VM - How-To: TechStream In 5 Minutes and with the older version he has but not the 12.20.024 version installed.

Still having issues with the flashers not responding and I'm repeating the registration process again...

I have the software and the cable, can someone tell me where you go to make the lift gate raise automatically when you press the button on the underside of the lift gate?

No techstream should be needed. Next to liftgate button should be kill switch to disable power lift gate. At least I have it on my LC.

My power gate otherwise works, I just don't open automatically when you push the open button on the upper half of the gate.

Was reading through this and wanted to add this tip if you don't have a windows XP laptop: I was able to create a TIS account on the website, pay for a 2-day license ($50 iirc), download the latest TIS software, install it on windows 7, use it with a cable purchased on ebay, and it worked to modify all my settings for my '16 LC.

I had lots of trouble getting it to work on earlier versions and I also wanted to make sure I had a version that would work for all the features on a 2016 model. Paying for basically a one-time use on the latest version just gave me peace of mind that I got everything I could configure done.

I had a misconception that this was a hacked version of private Toyota software because in my past I've done this process with BMW and their software is not available to the public. It was neat to find out that the general public can go on their site, pay a fee, and download/use the software.
Which website did you use for the download?

OK. I have the newest version of techstream. I can check all my systems. I can go to the main Select Customize Function page, but I cant get past that to the "Select Customization Parameter" pages. What am I doing wrong. I am using the mini-vci J2534 cable.

This is the correct thing to purchase right? Got quite a few toyotas at home that if needed, should help

I picked one up a while ago off eBay for less then $20. I just checked and they still are listed there.

In theory newer firmware will have all the newer patches in it, along with the older ones. I bought my setup 2 years ago and used it on my 2020 and it worked fine. I might be speaking out of term, but I don’t think it matters on the firmware.

I've got an 08 LC
08 and 11 Avalon, 13 4runner at the household
So if the older worked on a 20 I should be good
Thanks

Having troubles connecting to the 200... getting an error message saying that it cannot read the VIM. Did anyone else run into this issue?

Make sure everything is communicating right. Make sure the truck is off. Have you computer hooked up to the truck with the software open. Then turn you ignition on. Basically just make sure the communication is syncing.

@Selling4fishing So have techstream open and plugged in without the truck on. When do I hit connect to vehicle?
