Gaijin thanks for the service you have provided. Include me in the group that would be lost without you. I have a question. Why do some cars have a different F/R tire inflation number on the door sticker?

Easy question - not so easy to answer. It could be for many reasons - weight distribution of the vehicle (e.g. FWD vs. RWD), handling (mitigation of understeer/oversteer), comfort (changing pressure changes the "spring rate" of the tire - how much the tire compresses and how quickly it rebounds under load). In the end, it's what the engineers decide based on required performance characteristics.

Based on your previous posts, I'm guessing you have a 2008 LX570, right?

And I think you mean the ISO-Metric 275/60R20SL 115T Wildpeak A/T3W tires, right?

If both of those are correct, then the Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure for the 275/60R20SL 115T Wildpeak A/T3W tires on your 2008 LX570 is 30psi F/R.

Sorry if I sound like a jerk, but without accurate info I need to do some searching to find out exactly what you need.

No, all good you were right on alll accounts I’ll adjust them tomorrow.

Good morning gaijin. I was wondering if you could provide specs for 2 trucks?

1. 2000 LC stock. Cooper Discoverer S/T MAXX LT285/75/R16 M+S

2.2014 LC stock. Michelin Lattitude Tour HP 285/60/R18

I also am curious on the Cooper’s, what does the M+S designate?

Thank you.

1. Your 2000 LC is a 100 Series, so I cannot recommend a tire pressure. BTW, the "M+S" stands for "Mud + Snow."

2. The Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure for the Michelin Latitude Tour HP 285/60R18/XL 120V tires on your 2014 LC200 is 33psi F/R - the same as listed for the P285/60R18 tires on your Driver's side door jamb sticker.

First post I think, and it's an important one...tire pressure check!

@gaijin, if you get a moment, could you tell me the recommended cold tire pressure for LT285/75R17/E 121/118S KO2 tires on a 2013 LX?

Thanks!

Gladly, sir!

The Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure for the LT285/75R17E 121/118S KO2 tires on your 2013 LX570 is 35psi F/R.

Thanks. Do you know where I can get the correct pressures for the 100? Seems quite elusive.:D

gaijin,

How about tire pressures for 275/65/20 Michelin LTX AT2 for 2013 LX570 please.

Thank you very much.

Michelin makes the LTX A/T2 (Not "AT2") in P-Metric, LT-Metric and ISO-Metric sizes. You have asked about the ISO-Metric size "275/65/20."

Is that really what you mean to ask? I don't think so.

It only takes an extra second for you to correctly state the size tire you have, but in order to check to see if you really know what you are asking, I have to research on the Michelin site to confirm your question - then I do my thing and calculate the correct recommended pressure.

On the Michelin site (Truck Tires, Car Tires and more – Michelin Tires) I find that your tire is really the LT-Metric size LT275/65R20/E 126/123R. Correct?

In that case, the Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure for the LT275/65R20/E 126/123R Michelin LTX A/T2 tires on your 2013 LX570 is 36psi F/R.

By now, you (and probably other readers) have come to the conclusion that I'm just being a jerk. Well, maybe so. If I were a real jerk, however, my response would have been:

Sorry, in order to calculate the recommended pressure for ISO-Metric tires I need the Load Index for the tire and whether it is SL or XL.

But I resisted that impulse.

I really don't mind calculating pressures for you folks, but please, state your requests completely and accurately - it makes it a lot easier to get you a complete and accurate answer.

Sorry for the rant.

Hi Gaijin what's the recommended pressure for nitto terra grapplers 275/65/20 on a 2008 LX570?

Hi Gaijin what's the recommended pressure for nitto terra grapplers 275/65/20 on a 2008 LX570?

According to Nitto tire, they do not make the Terra Grappler in any 20" sizes: Terra Grappler All-Terrain Light Truck Tire

Please read my post immediately above yours and look at your tires again to see if you really mean "Terra Grappler".

And while you are at it, please confirm whether you really mean the ISO-Metric size 275/65R20 or the LT-Metric size LT275/65R20. If the ISO-Metric size, please confirm the Load Index.

Gaijin,

Yes you are correct it was/is LT275 /65 R20 126R. I am sorry for not giving all the information and making you do it.

Thank you for the help and (kind) rant. Next time I will be more accurate with the details.

Happy Holidays.

Hello Gaijin,

Could I get the recommended tire pressures for a 2009 LC with Michelin Defender LTX M/S 275/65R18.

Thanks and I hope you have a Happy New Year.

If you really mean the ISO-Metric size 275/65R18 116T then the Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure for your LC200 is 38psi F/R.

NOTE to @Duhmoon 6/16/2020: This RCTIP is incorrect. It should be 33psi F/R.

I based my original RCTIP on my understanding that the tire was XL, but it is not. It is SL. As such, the RCTIP is different.

I am very sorry for any confusion or inconvenience I may have caused by this error. I have also sent you a PM to assure you get this info.

If, however, you mean the LT-Metric size LT275/65R18 123/120R Load Range E then the recommended pressure is different.

Please check your tire carefully and make sure you have requested pressure for the correct size - Michelin makes both sizes.
