Does anyone know the thread pitch on the EGR pipe to the EGR valve? It looks like a pipe thread but i am not sure. I would like to use something threaded in to the pipe to cap it until i remove the head and make a plate on that end.

interesting. Are both of those photoes plugginh the EGR valve? I want to pluge the hard line. I guess i could cut the EGR body up and take the threaded section off. Then maybe get it welded shut and screw it into the hard pipe.

what year do you have?

1 1/4 is the nut on the 95-97 years.

The ends are holes that are unthreaded with plates that cover them. m8 I think.

I made a plate already that covers the intake manifold opening. But I still need to cap off the pipe coming up off the head. When I eventually do the HG I will remove the pipe altogether and make a plate for the head also.

take the old pipe side that is threaded, weld it shut, then reconnect.

Remove the EGR pipe and cap with a M26x1.5. Get two and you can also plug the intake manifold. Bypass the air pump with Dayco belt #22528. Leave everything else alone. Easily reversed and so far the performance increase is quite noticeable. If you ever resale, you can reinstall in about 20 minutes.
