You never said anything about compression specificlly either, you said "easier to change the setup". Does rebound not count as the setup? Because it does for the BPs, so if we're comparing apples to apples it's not as easy with the Icons.

Right, he asked for opinions on BP-51s, not comparing to a kit that costs over twice the price. I don't see where the OP mentions Icons at all...
Well pardon me for English being my second language. Let me try again.

BP-51 changi thingies harder than Icon single changi thingy.

And just thoughts just on the BP's.

I would have kept the BP-51 if they were not Clunking, creaking and groaning and overall felt like the whole front end was falling apart on small bumps. Thankfully ARB has a great customer service and after sending me another set that had the exact same problem, they took them back.
I heard they finally corrected those issues.

I debated on the BP51s and likely would have gone that way if they were in stock when I was building my rig. I went with the standard OME setup, same as I had in my 100 series that worked great for 5 years. I wheel hard, it is my daily driver. I am fully loaded with drawers tools etc and tow a 4000 lb trailer over the mountains. I have Baja'd (drive real fast) over offroad trails and never thought, I should have gone with the BP51's. Never wished I could adjust my shocks.

I know they are better shocks and am sure they provide a better ride.

Just a data point
