Sorry if this is confusing. I am trying to decide if it is time to get rid of a couple of my cruisers due to a storage issue and simple lack of use.

The dark green is a 66 (I think....or 67). It and the other are located in Wisconsin near Crandon.

I am thinking of trying Ebay for simplicity but wanted to see if anyone here is interested first.

I am looking to get 10 to 12k$ for the dark green one. It has been repainted, came from California, pretty clean start. It came from Whitey a few years back. Mechanically pretty good. Runs and stops real well. I drive it occasionally when I head up north, but not all that often. The tires still have the little nubbs. This truck is a blast.

The light green one has not run for over two years due to me being a lazy ass and not sending the carb to Mark out in Cali. I moved and lost the carb for a year while it was in storage. Oh well. It has been in a heated garage since I purchased it years back. Pretty clean, but the fenders have been trimmed a bit. The previous owner put on 33's. I loved it but, like all my other cruisers, it just sits. Looking at around 6 to 7k$

Let me know if there is any interest in either. If I am off on my pricing, let me know. I am in no dire need of getting rid of them, just need to give my folks space back. I simply have too many toys and reality is setting in.

Shoot me a pm if interested. I am going to offer them locally as well and will try my luck with Ebay.
I hate to thin the herd but I need to move on. Needles to say, I won't be cruiserless, so not to worry.....

Lol...then help the man out. He asked if his prices are right?

Honestly

It looks to me he is low on both of them. This is compaired to what I have seen on E-bay. I have seen a few complete ones that need completely restored, the engines don't run, frames bent etc go for $5k to $8k. Just the other day here on MUD a cab and bed went for $1k.

He should probaly delete this thread.

I will be in WI, IL, MI and IA later this month and would love to pick up the light green one.

I would fee bad if I paid him undermarket value for it and he felt he was taken just for not knowing the current market value.

I personally have posted a few thing for sale and a few people have PM'ed me saying it was way to low or way to high. I appreciated it.

"He should probaly delete this thread. "

I have to say, this made me laugh.. I am not clear as to the values of my trucks, that I can admit. But I have to say that Mud is different from Ebay. I am good friends with Woody and feel like I know many of you on here. I know the values are not accurate, but that is why I asked what you all thought. I don't feel like my stuff is gold like others sometimes do. I have collected these things for years because I liked them. Not because they are investments. I have way too much into them all to look at them in any way other then a passion.

I will go through the pm's in the am and try to make some decisions. I appreciate everyones opinions and feedback. I am just trying to make space and hope the next person will dig the trucks as much as I do.

I don't have further pictures right now cause they are four hours away and I am not heading up to the house for a few weeks.

The dark green one has been stripped to bare metal, epoxy primed, repainted and re-assembled. The engine compartment is still original, but clean and it runs like a champ. The battery needs a jump after sitting for months and the winch is not hooked up yet.

The light green one is as cool as it gets but has trimmed fenders and non original gas tank. An tank was custom made for it in it's original location and th eguage cluster has been changed to aftermarket. I have another but never changed it out. Once again due to the other cruiser priorities. Just time needed I guess.

I will try to reply to the pms promtly and hope someone ends up with my 45s and loves them. They are fun toys and I will regret selling them, but like most of my junk........they can be replaced when the time is right.

Life is what happens while you're making other plans, isn't it Eric? I kind of know how you're feeling, as I am turning a corner in my life as well right now.

Something tells me that big accident you were in a couple of years back played a role in all of this. Accidents have a way of making us start rethinking things. Some just take longer than others.

Your trucks WILL sell. Now that bull and D'animal have hopefully shoooed off all the lowballers, I for one don't think it would be all that bad if you posted what your best offer is [anonymously as to bidder] just to get a little more feedback from the guys on whether the offer is reasonable.

I for one have no friggin idea what trucks are worth, and what little I see or here of usually leaves me :censor: OTOH, I feel pretty confident in saying that orange, bull, kellyo, d'animal and burbankian all have a very keen sense of what the market is right now, and will prolly know within a hundy or so if the offer is fair.

Best of luck to you.

Mark A.

not a bad idea mark. i'd have to agree with posting the highest offers so far. i know this goes against the rules of this forum but sometimes you just need to bend the rules a little. besides, you are trying to keep the 45s in our extended family here.

if you get nothing but low-ball offers then i'd have no problem putting them on ebay if they were my trucks. this way people here get their chance. if they decide not to take the opportunity then it's fair game! :)

Is there interest in a trade light green for a clean 72 40??

I would love to get my hands on a 45!!
Where in wis. are you? I'm over the border in ILL!

thanks, Brian

I have two folks right now that want both. I am psyched about that. I know both guys are getting a fair shake and I am trying to get with folks in order but ones that want two are my priority.
I know selling them seperately is the best financially or ebay but I like mud and want the trucks to atleast stay withing our clan.
If these two guys don't want the trucks, I will split them up.

As for any trades.....as tempting as that is, I can't do it. Space has become a big issue for me. I don't mind paying storage but I honestly think I have too many cruisers and need to thin the list.

Mark hit the nail on the head as well. I did have one hell of an accident and it surely made me think. Not sure if it cleared my head but it sure made me prioritize a bit over the last few years..

I love 45's but life goes on.. If stuff makes us complete or fulfilled we will never have enough stuff... or even if we know it doesn't...

Whether its you or the heir to your estate, they will eventually change hands. Good luck on finding them a new home, nice rigs.
