There is no problem with 2000 transmission.
There is only one problem with a cruiser and thats neglect, keep all lube fresh :)

If there is no problem with the 2000 transmission, wonder why Toyota stocked 38 of them in USA in 2011, that is significant more than any other MYs.

01/1998-8/1999: 35010-60611-84: 1 available in the US

08/1999-8/2000: 35010-60840-84: 14 available in the US

08/2000-8/2002: 35010-6A020-84: 24 available in the US

A343F for the 80 series: 35010-60541-84: 2 in the US

A750F:

9/2002-8/2003: 35010-6A141-84: 4 in the US

8/2003-5/2005: 35010-60A00-84: 5 in the US

5/2005- End of Production (UZJ): 35010-60A40-84: 7 in US

So my prediction is right....:)

First ask he is selling because it drives slow? if he says yes, then pay $3000 (and sell it to me for $4000)

If he says no, just to get rid of it, tell him, that you are willing to pay extra $$$ becuase the truck is in 4 lo!

This is a super deal.. look at the interior! For $3000..... such a low mile truck?

Interior is redone. Wait until I post pics from exterior! I don't want to count my chickens yet though.

subb'ed. want to know how this will end. lol.

Isn't that the shifter leather is heavily worn for a 126 K mile truck? Also the interior should be in very good shape for a 126 K mile truck, but they redid the interior.

Something is fishy in this truck.

Before you buy, do a VIN check and carfax. I think the odometer has been changed.

I was thinking the same thing. And why would the lever knob be upside down? Previous work done to it?

+1 here...if someone has used the shifter that much and worn off the leather then I would say the gearbox is undoubtedly rooted! The mileage doesn't match the condition of the interior. Someone in another post looking at another with 350k's and the interior is stock and much much better than this one ($4k). I see the cover for the cup holder is missing so had a rough ride across the centre console on this one.

Good luck and looking forward to see what you do.

So, it was on L instead of H but it was rough. Not sure we're to even start .carpet and all trim needs to be replaced. Suspension was messed up .tires are all different .

He had it in a shop and somebody started to part it. He wants 2k and I think I will ass unless I can find a donor needing an engine

Mismatched tires, to me, is a MAJOR red flag for neglect.

Here is a picture from another thread of one for sale with 350k miles on the clock

So, the transmission was actually fine? It was just in L?

Sounds like the rest of the truck is in terrible shape. Couldn’t the diffs get really messed up driving around on mismatched tires with the wheels spinning at different speeds?

Ah well, sounds like you definitely should pass. :-(

Toyota Land Cruiser 100 series,
This truck was stolen and then recovered by the insurance company. It is missing its seats, engine and transmission. It has approx 135 k on the body. I purchased it to turn into an amazing off road rig, but I'm not going to get to it. It is a roiling chassis, with quite a few great parts, either to rebuild or part out.it has a Toyota electric locker in the rear end. I'm looking to get $1,900. released title in hand.
