My 94 SR5 extra cab 4x4 is my daily driver with 291K miles on it. It has always bugged me to have the axles turning all the time. Is the gain in fuel mileage and less wear & tear on the drive line worth the price of a pair of aisin locking hubs? Interested in hearing from those that have added locking hubs.

I doubt the gas mileage change will be noticeable/measurable, but I would definitely do the swap. Did it on the several AD trucks I owned (including a '94 xcab). Easy swap once you get the cone washers off, well worth it. You don't even need to jack the truck up off the ground.

I had the same thought when I owned a 97 T100. Put on the hubs with no discernible change in MPG or decreased rolling resistance. But as stated previously, if you have the stuff - do it.
It gives you the option to drive your truck home if/when the CV detonates.

Thanks for the input. Since I don't have the hubs, think I will leave it alone for now.
