I've never been to the Salida graveyard - been meaning to go for a while now...

I love Leadville - I always see a bunch of Cruisers running around - never seen as many in one stop as you have pictured though! You hit it on a good day!

Awesome JP!
I was just looking at Derek's original pics...wow...this deal jest keeps on getting better and better...nice rig!!!

JP,

It looks like there was not much accumulation yet...

It was definitely good you all headed out yesterday, we have at least 4" of new snow. And looking at the road conditions at least I-25 is open, but that is the only positive. They are quoting slick, snowfall, strong winds all the way to Wheatland and then wet, slick in spots, snowfall, strong winds, blowing snow, reduced visibility down to Cheyenne.

Be safe,
Derek

Be careful JP! Flip that bezel for good luck, and head south to avoid the ice/snow!

Test

JP,
As a southern guy, I have loved 12 winters in Wyoming. Your post brings up the many trips to acquire cruisers....two to Washington St, Minnesota, California, Idaho, Denver and even all the way back to my home state of Florida. I will still say, there is no feeling like looking in the rear view mirror and seeing a Toyota front end and bezel on the trailer. After a couple years of bumper towing, I added a dual axle car hauler to my f250 diesel.....we call it "the enabler" it will go anywhere and get anything. ....Not always a good thing.
When the weather starts going "Western" on ya, just strap a snow shovel to your front grill and keep driving. When you finally get to a place that someone asks you what the shovel is, then my friend, you will be home!

Safe travels. Keep it between the ditches and dont use the brakes.

Dukes.

no pic of the two headed goat (or was it a sheep? been a decade or so since i've eaten there)? the ex and i used to joke it was the only place with more dead animals than our place

When I was very young we lived in Leadville when my dad worked at the Climax Mine. I vaguely remember living there but loved the winter. I love going there now and it is one of my favorite towns in Colorado.

The FJ45 looks nice. Can't wait to see it all re-done and on the road under its own power.

Thanks for all the comments guys! Finally got signal again...we are in Lincoln,NE. It basically snowed on us all the to here but from Cheyenne to the NE boarder was BRUTAL!! Took us almost 2 hours at 20mph to cover that distance in white out conditions at times...it was more than us southern boys had bargained for!! Looking forward to the warm and sunny south

You were fortunate you left when you did. Wyo road reports showed 80 closed to the NE border for several hours this morning.

Awesome JP. Hope to see you and Steve at an upcoming UC event in one of your three 45-series.

Daniel. ;P

Looking awesome JP, all that snow, mountains, and cruisers you must be in heaven. Finish off the trip safely.

Man, am I jealous. If you're tired of the snow, come on down to the Nanny State - it's been over 100 degrees here since Christmas. Boy do I miss snow and American freeways.
