You might consider this antenna bracket. Antenna Brackets

Made for the 80. I use one on each side for my CB/HAM antennas.

I have a pair of those, and found them to be a little weak. Had my ham antenna on one which got hung up a little bit on a branch and the bracket bent quite a bit.

What bracket(s) are you using now Chris?

:hmm:

Mine bend a little on occasion too but bent right back. If you flex your antenna hard something has to give.

Still have them but mostly use the mounts on the ARB. Just need to pick an antenna design that doesn't get hung up as easily.

Just bought one of these CHEAP Chinese 12v fridge. Just right for when I'm out working on my Land Cruiser, or 4Runner. Just thought I'd pass along the link just in case anyone else feels froggy. I'll let ya'll know how it works out. Yes I know - it's not a nine hundred dollar ARB, but hey - for less than $20.00 I'll take the gamble.

YES! FINALLY! The Lseat.com seat skins came in today! WOOHOO!!

Here's the front carpet, and in the plastic bag - the front skins for the door arm rests, both front seats, and the center console. I'm FINALLY at a point in yard work where I can get the front carpeting in and fitted. Next - re-skin the front!

Just some little things.

Finished up installing LSeat leather skinned seats, center console lid, and front arm rests. Looks great!

Installed the Driver's Side grab handle:

Installed Cup Holders:

A shill for @beno - thanks for getting me two Genuine Toyota Keys cut! Sticker proudly displayed now for all to see:

and lastly - our Wart Hog Mascot!

she's come a long way with more to come!

Where did you buy the LSeat Seat covers from? Can't find the website. Were they easy to install?

Here's the website - Leather Seat Covers | Custom Leather Interior | Replacement Seat Covers | Lseat.com

They are not seat covers. They are replacement skins for the entire front. Since I've never even attempted to reupholster anything I paid an expert to do the job. Well worth the money. She not only did the seat skins - she also rebuilt the worn out foam. They feel like brand new!

There should be some really good shops in Orlando you could take your seats to. Or if your really good - re-skin them yourself.

This is the package I ordered for my 96 LC:

Your Order Contains:
  • 1 x 1990-1997 Toyota Land Cruiser J80 Custom Real Leather Seat Covers (Front)
(Leather Color: S0014 Bisque, Stitching Color: L014 Bisque)

The best part - my wife is happy. Now she wants me to fix the paint, suspension, and new tires.

:D :steer:

Thanks for the link, not a pad price and they look pretty good. Next thing, you need to include links with your stuff ;), where did you get the landcruiser chain? I like that too.

Sorry - I try to avoid links as to avoid looking like a shill. I got mine from Amazon, but they are sold out now. I did a Google search, and found them here though -- Toyota Land Cruiser Oval Style Metal Key Chain Key Fob

Amazon does have this style available if you want to go slightly different -- Toyota Land Cruiser Black Leather Key Chain, Official Licensed

I'm almost thinking I like that one more....LOL!

Received a package from Frank @yodaTEQ - "Rear Antenna / Light Mount COMBO PACK". Had a few minutes today so on they went. Installation was very simple. 12 mm socket, and a small screw driver are all that's needed. These mounts are very strong, and nicely powder coated. I plan on installing a second CB antenna (or maybe a HAM antenna) on the driver's side, and a LED light on the other for setting up camp. Excellent product, and I give it two thumbs up! :flipoff2:

Digging your build thread start and welcome to the "Mud'munity!
Heck! I'm sure you guys have some great back-roads in WV! We do have the wide open desert, but back-roads to everywhere can be just as fun! I grew in Alabama, so backroads for days! So get to posting some of your everyday backyard adventures!!!

Thanks for the great words! Our last off road was a short trip to The Cove Campground for some axle twisting fun, and then hit their range to throw some lead down range. Didn't take the camera (duh). It was hot and humid, but we had fun. Wife sighted in her Remington 700, and is a two in MOA ringer now at 100 yards!

I have some more goodies to install when it gets cooler, and the thunderstorms here stop for a while. If you caught the news about Ellicott City flooding - that's about an hour from us, and we also received a bucket load of rain.

Future plans -- suspension lift, and new tires. Till then - my wife has a Honey-Do List from hell for me while the suns up. Today it looks like a break in the rain - so I need to do a ton of yard work. ARGH! This is cutting into my fun time.

We are planning on heading to the Maine coast (Acadia National Forest) after school starts for a well deserved vacation.

:steer:

Acadia is nice, Bar Harbor is a bit "strange" but the area is nice! We were up that way last year in September, I prefer the big mountains out west myself!

I had to please my wife with the Maine trip. I really want to head up to Glacier National Park, and as many great places as we can get to. I'm trying to talk her into an ALCAN trip to Alaska.
