I'll send you pics of our seats. This is what happens when you measure your trails by pucker factor.

It will be getting the full treatment from Trail Tailor aka @reevesci aka Jason. Front and rear bumpers. Sliders. Roof rack.
But that will be after the maintenance stuff is taken care of.
The bumper corners will come off right away. The dent on the quarter panel above the taillight.
I only read the first little bit of this thread(I'll read the rest later) and wanted you to know you are now dead to me.
I'm kidding of course(not really). Actually I'm in the market for a '96-7 or a 100-Series. Mywants one for herself. I want it to have airbags and ABS for her safety.
Nice! So exciting! Where are you in Wyoming?
So should I come in to town in Monday?
Rush hour in my town consists of two combines trying to pass each other going from field to field.
March 5th Afternoon - Head West on I-80 towards Iowa
March 5th Evening - Stop somewhere
Hate to bring up a "while you're in there" but since you'll have the starter out for the PHH, might as well throw new contacts and plunger in... No?Alright, here is the tentative plan. You all convinced me that this is the sound and rational move.
March 3rd Morning - Arrive in LA around 9am
March 3rd Daytime - Replace the PHH and Get the actuators working on the locking diffs
March 3rd Evening - Drink a beer or two
March 4th Morning - Leave early heading for Salt Lake City
March 4th Late Afternoon - Arrive at @cruiseroutfit because, well, why not
March 4th Evening - Arrive in Green River, WY at Trail Tailor aka @reevesci
March 5th Morning - Top Secret Cruiser Stuff at Trail Tailor
March 5th Afternoon - Head West on I-80 towards Iowa
March 5th Evening - Stop somewhere
March 6th Morning - Drive until I smell oatmeal, ethanol, wood pulp, corn sweetener, and river.
May arrange a pit stop with @MDarius along the way as well... And anyone else that is on the route from LA > SLC > Omaha > Cedar Rapids
@Qball @Dragos80 @jtwopark and anyone else is welcome to come tinker and drink beer at Joey's.
And if anyone wants some running boards they will be next to Joey's garage. HAHAHAHA
There is a better chance of me buying a Heep than me moving to Texas. F&%$ Texas!
Maybe he wants to ski Tahoe?I was going to comment on this, but I think your sense of direction might be a little "off".
Either that, or your understanding of "fording" a Series 80 is just a little... ahem... "optimistic".

It doesn't matter what time of day or night you arrive. Heavy, stop and go traffic is omnipresent up there. You think to yourself you'll be clever and travel in the middle of the night. Then you end up in the worst traffic jam you've ever seen and its 3AM. They tear up the freeways at night because they can't close them during the day. Should have bought one in San Diego.![]()
Imagine a road full of combines that goes for miles. Combines in front of you, combines behind you. Combines to your right and guess what? Yes! Combines to your left.
About 700 miles to SLC. It will take you 1hr to get out of LA. Lets just hope no traffic on the way there. At least 5 stops for gas and other needs. 70mph average speed. You are looking at 12 hrs on the road.
Joey to Barstow probably 2.5 hrs. You stop there for gas and food. Usually people do that on their way to LV. Outlet stores for the ladies.
Then you better hope and pray for no traffic to LV if you go there on Friday. People go to LV. A lot of people. Californians tend to bring traffic with them everywhere they go. If you get a group of Californians in the middle of the desert, you will have a huge traffic jam.
I won't be able to imbibe with you guys during the week. Not a big loss for anyone of you.
