nope, was curious if it was better to run with or without boots, decided to cut them off and see what was in there! That was the only shock with liquid and gook in there. So they sort of work I guess.

pm sent for lights

So my girls brother has some 37x13 on 15 boggers, i took one of his project truck and through it on to see how it would look. I like!!!!

Well this thread is going in a different direction fairly soon I think. ARB is gone, making way for tube. I got a quote for front and rear tube bumpers how I want them for 600ish. Together both cost less than the arb did.

I have gotten a job pending my drug test results (which im not worried about) in PA. So I will be moving down there. I will then decide if I want to keep the 80 legal or buy a truck and tow it. Over all I have decided I like the minimalist approach to 80s. So we shall see what happens.

So the buying of 37s should be happening in 2 weeks. I think I am going with 37x12.5 r16 Irok NDs. 330 a tire isnt bad, well see. I got another 37 irok for free, hopefully it holds air and I can use it as my spare.

I painted the wheels black in preparation. Can not wait to get some new meats. After that time to do some trimming and get some tube bent up for bumpers.

So I got some 37s. Mounted and ready to wheel!

more, i love the looks of 37s. They actually measure out to 36" exactly unloaded!

They have the inspection tires on them. I might even put the irok nd's on them. Time will tell, I am going wheeling Sunday so we shall see how they do!

Lookin good! What wheels are those?

Looks good!

Please do post up your thoughts on those tires after running them for a while. Street manners? First time I've seen someone running those ND ones, I've been curious about them.

I dont know about the wheels, I bought them for a $100 off a local 4x4 club guy. Not sure what they are. They are rubbing on calipers a bit in front so I am going shave a bit and they were silver and I rattled them black real quick one day.

I was deciding on which 37s and I came to the decision of the irok nd's cause they were 330 a piece, cheapest I found. I will report back on them!

Oh and just for everyone's insight, this is a pic of an Irok ND(on right) compared to regular Irok. Not much difference except you can see how the lugs are directional on regular irok compared to the the Irok Non directional.

Oh I get it! ND = Non Directional

cool pics...

what are your sliders made out of? thats a healthy dent.

why the change to the other wheels. better backspacing?

you need a front bumper as bad as i do...you going plate or tube?

good price on the iroks...i think i paid somewhere around 390 for my rockers. i like the looks of nd compared to the regular irok. the outer lugs are larger are more curved which should bite hard. they look like they will perform very well. though no one really has complaints with iroks performance, just longevity.

truck looks good. i like 80s with battle scars.

I might end up putting them back on the oem wheels but threw them on some other ones I had laying around for now.

The sliders are from trail gear and are not meant for an 80 but they worked, I think I am going to chop out the rockers anyway and add in some 2x4 steel.

I had an ARB on there and its big and bulbous. I hit a little tree and dented in side wing. I was disappointed and decided that it was not the bumper for me. I am going with tube I believe. I am either going to steal the design and make a full tube bumper like Nays or just do the winch plate setup. Below are some pics (stolen from mud) of what I am thinking of doing.

The truck is used and abused and I am constantly changing plans and revising plans as I wheel her more and more.

i really like Nay's bumper. clean and simple. Nay's truck has all the right ingredients.

i am also a big fan of just the winch plate, it has worked well on my other two trucks i have built. on my cruiser im starting with a universal winch plate and then a stinger. then connect the stinger to my sliders under the fender. similar to my pickup:

i started chopping my rockers this past weekend. all my tube and junk is just sitting waiting for me to have time to work on it...bummer.
