You miss understand, this was at All Wheel in Lewiston first so it was on land meant for wheeling and second, it was a designated trail just not one being used that day. I did not rip a new one, just one that wasn't being used that day. The 80 is more capable than a lot of the guys I go with so that trail was not being taken cause rigs wouldn't make it through. Sorry for misunderstand but I promise I was where I was allowed to be.... side note tree was fine just not bumper!

Then I retract my statement.:flipoff2:

I need to finally get out and do some wheeling with mine. Well, once I can get it to stop being such a drama queen.

For the record, this has been sore subject lately. My brother is about to cut off a pretty good trail system because of few _________. You can fill in the blank.
Take care
J

It is a battle everywhere and sad! Thats what I like about Maine4x4, its a responsible group of people. I dont like wheeling with immature people, drinking is a no no, so I am glad i wheel with responsible people! When you want go out sometime let me know!

So I started on the front axle rebuild today, not to hard really, I am learning it though which is cool, taking my time and cleaning it real well. It was in good shape and probably did not need to be done but whatever. Most of the left side got done today.

Great to see you tackling this outside!

As a  guy working with nothing more than an uncovered parking spot it certainly inspires confidence to see others busting this front end job out for the first time around the driveway.

I'm sure others do it, but most of the tech pictures I've seen on here just make me wish I had a garage even more!

Jasmine's certainly gettin' spoiled

I wish I had a garage but i dont, nice weather makes it perfectly do able, careful with your area though with it being so wet, being in the rain doing this wouldn't be much fun! It is pretty straight forward and not nearly as intimidating as I was thinking. I got the axle build dvd and read pretty much every thread on it.

how many :beer::beer: to come do mine after? :D My ambition level lately has been getting in the way of a few projects. She is looking good.

you have a garage right? Id be down for helping at some point, really not that bad. Trust me I have a list of junk I have to do, my motivation is lacking!

Yes but the garage is too narrow for doing any serious work on the LX. I do most of it at my work. I have most of the "oh crap" tools there too. Nothing is worse then getting into the middle of a job and finding out you forgot something. I blame my ex for taking my motivation when she took, well you get the idea.

I went out and got a couple more tools to help make go smoother on the other half. I got it all put it back together except for the brake caliper. I messed up on a gasket placement I realized after and really dont want to tear down again to fix, im going to ask on here and see how big a deal it is, if i can get away with it im leaving it. I will get more pics of the other side as I do it.

This will be my next project for my 80 now that I have fixed my rod bearings and radiator. I have the kit and the driveway to do this. Now we are getting the nice weather here in Maine.

weather makes all the difference here, let me know if you want help

i got the driver side tore down today. Was low on grease and looks that diff oil was coming in through seal, glad it gone down now rather than later. Cleaning it all tonight and assembling tmrw.

Hopefully when I clean these sensors up my abs light will go off!
DSC00746.jpg

Well both sides are done. My ABS light did not go off though so I guess I need to look into that! Over all not that bad and gives good peace of mind. I am going to check it out tmrw and look for leaks.

I solved the problem of abs, pulled the bulb, outa sight outa mind!

I failed inspection today for bad brakes, the one wheel that I have not done. I went home and grabbed the parts out of basement and threw them on, tmrw ill have a sticker good for another year!

Also picked up four wheels for $100, think I might use them as inspection wheels and sell oem wheels. Anyone need some?

Also took off shock boots, mostly dry but have not mudded yet. One them had junk in it. I am running naked now.
