Well, a bit late but better than never. This build thread will forever immortalize the pain and hardships, the sweat, tears and all the busted knuckles and thrown wrenches it takes to build a 1969 fj40 from the ground up! With much help from the fabled Reddingcruiser my plan is to have this rig finished before the Rubithon! So far my drive train is a Chevy 5.3 tied to a built 4L60e, AA’s Chevy-Toyota adapter(thanks to Georg at valley hybrids!) and an fj60 transfer case (eventually to have 4:1 gears) axles are modified fj40, Detroit rear and arb front lockers, rear axle was moved 4” back and front axle was moved 3” forward.

You better have more pics than that!

I tried to upload more but it doesn’t seem to want to take more than 5, I think it has to do with me using the site from my phone
Buy a silver star. Mud knowledge is well worth the cash. Can’t wait to see the build, welcome.
