Dan, that's a wonderfully "decorated" ride!

Your items make a great shopping list for folks, so maybe you should rank them in terms of what you'd buy first or what made the best mod if you had to do it all over again.

Of course I was surprised that you left out your most infamous mod - the oil galley freeze plug ;)

Congrats on the sub-tank too

Dan, it's just like when you get your house just the way you want it . . . . . . Time to sell and start over, I'll trade you my 40 for it.

Nope, it's not on it's way out. It's actually kinda like the Golden Gate Bridge, after they finish painting it they start over again.

I left repairs off of the list because that is cost of ownership, even the $.49 plug...:flipoff2:

Ranking is tough. I really like the blower but others would dis-agree.

I guess lift and Tyres first then winch/front bumper then Sliders and the other stuff as funds and time permit.

Dan
Well, you have the project near completion now - one day mine will be like this - perfect, in every way. How much has that cost you Approx over the last 11 years? certainly less than it would have cost me, and I've only had mine since 2000!
Can I ask you about the electrics? I had a potentially very serious electrical fire under the bonnet back in Nov 2003 - have you experienced anything like this?

Great work Dan, she looks beautiful! :D

Proud to say I paid for a full third of the costs on that rig.

Well done Dan!

Dano,

You got a nice swwweeeeet rig there yo! Looks like a tank and solid as a rock. I like the rear Slee bumper painted dark green just like an army truck. Rock on! :flipoff2:

The bumpers and sliders are actually black powdercoat. The dirt in that shot fools you.

cdan, you've modded that thing so that the side view looks like an Explorer. :flipoff2:

side pics please, thinking about removing factory roof rack.

What the hell is the blingy thingy on the back? :flipoff2:

CDan - it's an impressive inventory - a list we all aspire to... If you're not careful we'll all be heading to New Mexico for a closer look - is there any room to camp on your front lawn?

thx Jammin, guess my 80 doesn't have this,,,,,bummin!

Here you go:

They need to make that with a clinometer on the left side instead of the compass. My GPS has a compass.

CDan...That thing is sweet. And a great color too!!!

So if I call you tomorrow can I have that compass and clinometer part ordered by this weekend right?

I only have 10 1/4 years to go.

Where's the pictures of the subtank installed?

Dan,

Hey man, when I had a port call in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, I notice that on their 80 overhead console was a sub tank fuel gauge and a subtank fuel switch.

That side pic is nice, do you have front and rear manual locking hubs on your axle or just another illusion. :D
