Turns out no one makes a clutch for the 1991 3FE with H150 transmission.

Jason tried Terrain Tamer and then Cruiser Outfitters. CO was 6 weeks out of Japan.

I called @OGBeno and he did his Rainman thing and came up with an alternative disc he thinks will work.

Look at the prices. Man. Tarrifs will hit too. Makes me love my Amazon $200 Aisin kits.
Ouch.
I would recommend you have one of your beloved $200 CKT032 kit's on hand at the same time when the transmission is out. Just a suggestion...

Maybe the clutch itself but from pictures the rest of it all looks different.

The throwout bearing is very different, but the clutch disc, pressure plate and pilot from the regular 2F clutch kit (CKT032) all work just fine in the 3F 80.

Yeah I know the US converted one is the same with the H42/55. Just wonder why this H150 truck threw everyone for a loop? Have you done one of these?

Yes.

I work on high strength meatal all the time and this was different. Many new cars use high strength steal for weight savings. Its harder to work on than normal steel. This was different. I have worked on many 100s are they are not like this

This topic is much on my mind lately. I am doing a 105 with barn doors currently and a higher quality body shop is indicating that they would prefer replacement parts including passenger front fender and the big side barn doors.

I though they were making a bit much of it but in talking to a couple of friends who supply parts or redo 100 series as their business they indicated agreement that it would be better long term to try to get a better replacement door, citing stretching of 100 series skins with application of heat or even of panel beating.

@REKCUT is something like this what you were alluding to above? Trying to educate myself as much as possible. I can get a good quality set of replacement barn doors for about 1K USD, inclusive of interior trim, but well... that's a fair amount of loose change. Bare front fender I can get for about 100 USD so not a drama on that.

Ouch.

Turns out the H150 in the 91/92 3F trucks has a 10 spline input

Turns out the rear main leak I've dealt with since I owned it was actually an easily fixable high oil pan leak.

I've been trying to get some info on the H150 input shaft length and diameter for the 3F application.
If you still have it out, could you measure the input shaft length and diameters?

I'm trying to determine if is similar to the H151 input in behind the 1FZ/1HD.
I'm aware that the spline count is different, and the bellhousing is different.

But If the length is the same, and diameter of the pilot bearing is similar, I could use a 1FZ/1HD H151 trans, behind a us 3FE with the correct 3F bell housing.
And a cluch disk form the 1FZ/1HD applications.

Maybe.

Sorry if this is clogging your thread,
but here’s roughly what I’m looking for.
I know, I know it’s a tape measure.
It’s the only thing I had on me to measure this In Georg’s parking lot.

Nolan, just saw your 80 you imported for dissent! That thing is looking sweet and it’s a game changer that portals are coming to the 80 platform from 74weld.

It's gonna be filthy with that big turbo on it

Heres a follow up, in case you don't want to do the math/cm/in conversion.

The 3F input shaft looks to be roughly 1/2'' shorter than the 1HD/FZ input shaft.

Thanks again for the info @Ozark cruiser, and @wngrog for your thread.

Yeah I'm sad neither Georg or Kurt knew this.

Also the work around disc Beno found me was the wrong spline.

So in the end after spending $1000 on parts and tarrifs the only thing I needed was the 2F Aisin kit and a funky throwout bearing.

Now we know.
