Eeny, meany, miny, mo…we were all packed up to take the 100 to Big Bend Ranch State Park this weekend, but I instead went to the ER and left without my appendix. Better here than 100 miles from the nearest medical care and on a satellite communicator. We were both so ready for a trip away from home, though. Ended up taking the LX to western Arkansas to check out some land and just enjoy the scenery. First real trip with her - What a great roadtrip vehicle! Comfy for my tummy and quiet. They drive differently, for sure, but I love them both!
First trip of the year, sliders and new tires worked great.
Need some meatier tires ASAP lol
I'm in the exact same boat haha PO just put on new tires (same as yours) before I bought it but at least they're 285/75's so I'm riding them out
Yeah these are 275/70 16s and they are great on the highway and light offroading but absolutely terrible in snow and ice, not even joking I've almost died like 2 times in some sketchy situations, I just refuse to put new tires on when these still have like 20k miles left lol

295-75-16 on stock wheel and 1.5 inch spacer
285-75-17 on Icon Vector (machined the hub bore for fitment)
315-70-17 on Icon
Tough choice. Love the look of the 315 but it’s not much taller than the 285-75-17…

285/75r17 is going on my truck next week, seems like the biggest tire size without a bunch of compromises.
Definitely less wear on the truck, only about half an inch total diameter difference and about 6-7 lbs less per tire of rotational mass
I like the 295/75r16 the best all around but the problem is availability if I bang one up in a remote/rural area. It feels like the natural extension of the tall/skinny concept after the 255/85r16.
Spent the weekend exploring the San Rafael Swell in Utah!
The color is one of the best but you gotta share the more interesting backstory of this 100 series, Ralph
