Just curious, why sell the Titan 12K for a Warn M12? Seems like the Titan is just as good?

Just felt that the warn brand is proven. Titan makes great winches based on reviews but warn is present in a worldwide market.

Hungry Valley

Had too much fun wheeling that I never got around to taking photos. This was on our way out of the OHV area after playing on the 4x4 practice area and then running the Freeman Trail to Vic Cat's Trail. I have some good video of the 4x4 practice area I need to post up. Climbing up the stair steps there was fun.

The three funny looking tyres are all "dune tyres" great for the sand when deflated.... bloody dangerouse on the road and almost all made in china (The BAD kind of made in China)

Damn I wish we could get those 16" steel wheels!

Towing Capacity

For those of you wondering the towing capacity of a LC with a simple class IV draw bar and 2-5/16" ball. Bobcat is about 5300 lb, trailer about 2800 lb and extra bucket ???? (hundreds of pounds). All in all, probably about 9000 lbs.

Only other assistance is a set of airbags. The ride was smooth and steady and generally effortless (OD off and in Power mode). The trip was about 120 miles.

I'll say it, that was very stupid. 120 miles is not a trip around the block. Mentioning that the ride was effortless only proves your ignorance.

That was a little harsh :) but it's a worthy point. MGVW is 12,400. Max towing is 6,500. The fact that it handled it fine is testimony to how solid the rig is. With trailer brakes you were probably OK. I'd just hate to be you if there was an emergency and you hit something. Regardless of how well the truck pulled you'd surely be found liable/negligent. Towing it down the road to a buddies house though, no worries.

I recently towed one (except it had tracks instead of wheels) with my Suburban about 5 miles and did not enjoy it in any way shape or form. Suburban did fine but no question I was pulling a ton of weight, well in excess of what I should have been.

That was harsh and I am not hardly ignorant. Been towing for decades. I don't recommend folks tow like this unless they know how. I was just illustrating the ability of the truck.

With proper brakes and skill, this handles like any other large trailer. It is actually a smaller load than my travel trailer, and certainly less susceptible to wind. Most towed loads are larger and heavier than the tractor - any accident will be tragic. I doubt the negligence factor, as there is no standard for determining towing capacity of a vehicle. The real issue would be if there was a hardware breakdown, like bent or broken parts, etc. causing a failure on the road that may cause an accident. But there was not any equipment failures. It towed great.
