New slider window is in. My son helped me put it in when he got back from surfing (good waves right now due to the hurricane in the Gulf).

I couldn't have managed this at all though without @matt tin, thank you for finding this mate. It's guys like him, @cruisermatt @Living in the Past @frankenyota and many others who make this site so great.

Where did you find the replacement window seal? I'm doing the same on my 43 and finding that the seals are different for the rear corner windows versus the slider.

City Racer has everything. They are fantastic. They sell an entire rebuild kit: sweeper, felt, weather strip. It all fits really well.

I bought factory Toyota felt from Toyota in Australia for my Hj47 probably 25 years ago now and other than the Toyota stuff having the metal keepers in the corners (which you can reuse from your old ones), there is very little difference.

And speaking of City Racer, @devo came through with a fuel filler so I ordered the hose while I was at it to make leaks even less likely (because I'm certain the hose was not replaced in the 'restoration'). I also got all the little items for my LX screen upgrade.

I love how many little, seemingly inconsequential items you can find on their site.

The dollars and time spent looking sure add up fast, but it’s right. They have amazing inventory.

So true @Ditcherman . I think I've spent more at City Racer than I did on my first 2 FJ40s...... but who's counting? 🤣

@Chamba Better keep flying!

Great to learn how well it’s all tying together

You and me both! And the other vendors! I was new to the FJ40 Scene. If I knew then what I know now, I would have sent my $5k FJ40 to the scrap metal yard, and had Tim pick me out a good solid one to start with. I could have had 2 or 3 for the price of this 1. But the time I realized it, I thought I had past the point of no return. AND, I thought it couldn't possibly get worse. I was wrong!

I can only think of 1 other thing……😉. Even at my age.

I thought of that. But after 23 years, it's all about reliability of return: one is 50/50 at best, where the other gets turned on with a key and doesn't mind my cigar......

Does it operate off the door as well as switch?
No. Just the switch on the dash. Mine is missing the mount in the A pillar for the pin switch. It's on the door, not the pillar sadly. On my LX, I even added the switch to the right rear door when I opened it. I may do that here, but haven't yet.

Also found a temporary 'cool' air intake option until @cruisermatt finishes the repro air horn.

LED strip lights designed for pickup trays. I mounted them inside the inner rain gutter facing upward. It's like bottled daylight in there.

I may have to do that too, and have quick connects so if I get ready to go topless it will be easy to unplug and plug back in.

Hey by the way, if you are interested (I know you said you like listening to your music while in your rig), since I'm running a behind the dash hidden Bluetooth stereo with a retro looking dash knob I was searching for a way to connect my amplifier & Blaupunkt subwoofer (both of which I've had 20 years and still work great when I pulled them out of my Gen 3 4Runner when I sold it), because the Bluetooth stereo doesn't have RCA pre-amp outs. I don't know if your stereo does (probably does since it is a real stereo), but if not Kicker makes a great solution for less than $20 delivered. Just run an additional set of speaker wires to it (tied in with either the fronts or rears) and it converts it to your RCAs needed and even supplies the remote ON for the amp. And I'll also include a link to a quick connect for the amp, which I will mount to the back of the sub. So if I ever need the cargo space I can quickly disconnect and remove it:
