Those Yokos look absolutely cool, but I wish you would have done the rims black, as they would have been black on your '64.

x2 Those tires are sweet! The grey looks great, but black would be amazing with that color! Period correct would be a bonus too. Either way I have have subscribed. Mad props!

Class!

Great looking color. It almost looks like mine - code 6L4. I'm not a fan of the black firewall, but I think it turned out well on yours and I love that you are keeping it factory original. Can't wait to see her all done!

Well CRAP, haha, my wheels CAME black and I frickin' painted them because I thought grey was correct. Ugh. Oh well, perhaps I can fix later without pulling the rubber.

having fun putting stuff back together today!

pretty stoked to see this beast come together :)

Also excited to know what ya think of those tires :D

My bias plys will be beat by the end of summer likely, stoked to see what ya think of those yokos on mud etc :)

Keep us posted with fresh photos :D

Although my rig won't equal D's, that pic does remind me of his thread. Cool old school FJ restore with a big ass dog in the background, mines a Mastiff ;-)

Black paint will find my wheels, will just be a PITA.

Chris

lol, your restore is on track to be way better than mine bro :)

Photos of the mastiff are a must :D

You are doing an awesome job :D

OK, so I guess when the time comes I'll need a pic with my Dobes in the back ground...wouldn't want to buck the tend...must be a '64 thang

OK pro's. I have my most awesome coolerman wiring harness but need some guidance. The wiring on my rig was just butchered by the PO. So bad, that even with pics it made no sense, I am amazed it ran. I am at the point now where I would like to start installing my harness, but embarrassingly even the simplest points are nebulous to me. For example, the harness that runs to the rear of the rig, does it run in frame? Held by brake line clips? How does it transition to the rear crossmember? How does it transition to the firewall?

Anyone have some nice pics of original wire installation?

Shot the pewter/silver interior bits today. Came out "ok". Metallic is not easy to spray at home for a rookie like me, will post up pics when things dry.

This is getting fun!

my rear wring harness followed the brake line along the frame ( had little metal clips you could fasten it with to keep it secure ) then when over one rear member then along the inside of the rear sill, with clips mounted up there to hold it in place. I think there might be some photos in my restore thread somewhere, but other might have better photos than me :)

Thanks D! I need to find some more of the friction clips that go across the rear sill, but I think I have it sorted!

Omg Shane, these are going to look smashing. Not the best camera, but sulfur yellow + Wimbledon white heater + these new seat covers!!! Wowzers.

Beautiful truck! Cant wait to see my caps on there. I love the color. I was on the Rubicon Trail a couple years back and there was a guy with a fresh "seafoam green" 40 like in the ad picture. I am still trying to decide between this and beige. Looks Soo good in person!

Mike, I cannot wait to see your hubcaps on my BLACK wheels either! Hell, and your door straps too! Looking forward to seeing whatcha do with your new '62!

I'll tell ya, I am smitten with the old school colors. The sulfer yellow is trully unique, then add that creamy white heater and coral seat covers and it looks like a time machine. I am going to start covering my seats this week/weekend.... We'll see how that goes. Seat frames all painted and have new pads from SOR. Need to confirm I got everything I need for the seats, welting and such, from Shane then get into it.
