Yep, we are official posers! There's a set of sand ladders on the rig now.. yep.. full fledged posers now! We can drive straight to Starbucks now without fear!

All kidding aside.. im running out of mods (yeah right) and they will come in handy for Surf and Turf 2007 :)

Removed the shovel and axe that were mounted on the side with quickfist. I never really liked having a axe that anyone could just grab when your not attending the rig anyways. Relocated the axe inside the drawers system and going to mount the small shovel somewhere else.. dont know yet.

Anyways, on the with the pics of the **bling. . .

Went with the 48"x12" instead of the massive 60"x14" suckers that weigh 6lbs more. These only weigh 10lbs each and i dont need any more weight in our rig thank you :)

One heck of a close fit with the door!

And yes, they get yanked off in 30 seconds when we deploy the tent. No biggie, they're super light and mounted with wing nuts. The mounting kit is from British Pacific ( you can make your own kit really easy.. not like its rocket science).

Have you noticed any wind noise from those dimples? Not that you don't get wind noise from your tent, cans, lights, etc.....

Oh and at the last Meet & Greet that axe was one thing that I would have changed. Not only because a wannabe axe murderer could get his amo from you but you could snag yourself climbing up from that rear passenger door.

Haven't even driven it yet. But yeah, the whole setup isn't very quiet.. so im not worried about it.

Yep, the axe i didn't like cause some kid could come by and take it to play with. I always pulled it off when we weren't on the trail or a M&G lol As far as me hitting it when climbing on the side of the rack.. it never would happen. I always pulled the axe and shovel off while i opened up the tent/loaded the rack.

Here is my latest MOD

Dave & Yoshi, when is the big DATE?:bounce2:
Just thought I'd stir the pot!:whoops:

Kidding aside, I just got the Warn Rear Bumper and love it.

Nice Hijack Stan! :flipoff2:

Looks good Dave. You would only be a poser if you had them on a Land Rover. :flipoff2::lol:

Thanks Mo for making me feel better lol Stan! Where have you been man! We've missed your company here! We need to get another run together! That's a sweet bumper! I didnt know Warn had one out for the FJCruiser yet. Cheeta... fully loaded for a trip, probably close to 7500lbs.

Here's a "usefull" mod i did last night... a folding steel step. Works great for getting up and over the ARB.

Stan, that is a nice bumper, we have indeed missed you around here. Just had to give you isht. :D

MO, how about a weekday run, local some time in the next few weeks?I may be open thur 9/13? if not in trial.

Stan would love to but I am way behind at the shop and not sure when I will have a weekday free. Back to the grind.

yep, got bored today so i installed JDM style fogs. These are 9005 hi-beam replacement arctic yellow bulbs @ 80 watts. We'll see how good they work.

Damn, I wish I could mod my rig everytime I got bored! :crybaby:

I think you might actually run out of mods Dave, we are going to have to do an intervention soon. :flipoff2:

Looks like one of the UFO's straight out of Close Encounters.

This isn't likely to be his last mod either! David Zartman from 4WD Toyota Owner Magazine just posted up a new aftermarket side protection mod in the 80's section for Kaymar rear bumper owners that looks great as a bolt on. It's similar to Ken Hanna's side protection but designed to bolt on to a Kaymar. He said he's post up results of this mod after running Rubicon. Can't wait for that story!

Here's the link.

How did you even get a chance to use them in 2 days in SOCAL? LOL

Sand ladders are from Okoffroad. Way cheaper than the Mantec brand cause they're made right here in the good ol' US of A!
